Health development opportunities The Department for International Trade is developing new approaches to boost trade and investment with developing countries, promoting sustainable economic development including using UK Aid funding. Healthcare UK is looking at a number of areas in response including: Supporting UK suppliers, including the NHS, to apply for international aid funded health contracts Preparing UK suppliers and the NHS to gain commercial opportunities and experience from the Prosperity Fund, a multimillion-pound HMG programme increasing life expectancy and delivering economic growth in developing nations Understanding channels NHS philanthropic experience can transition to commercial activities reinforcing philanthropic activities to be more sustainable Looking at UK healthcare strengths in offer areas that can be delivered in health development, including infrastructure, health system development and digital health (particularly AI)
