LIVE WORK PLAY A Healthy Commitment 2016 REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY Porter Regional Hospital is owned, in part, by physicians.
2016 REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY PORTER HEALTH CARE SYSTEM FROM STEVE S DESK From recruiting more physicians to the area to investing in medical technology, Porter Health Care System continues to expand access to quality medical care and improve the health status of our communities. Last year we completed construction of a new full service emergency department in Valparaiso honoring our commitment to continue a strong medical presence in the heart of Valpo. As a result of this renovation, Valparaiso Medical Center now has all the services found at most community hospitals. We expanded our inpatient rehabilitation unit at the Portage Hospital in response to a high demand for that service. We continue to hear your appreciation for our CareEXPRESS urgent care centers and for the 30 minute wait time pledge in our three emergency departments. Our commitment to healthcare and the communities we serve contributes to a healthier Northwest Indiana, making it the perfect place to LIVE, WORK, and PLAY.
