CMU CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY Teacher Education & Professional Development 2017 2018 TEPD Scholarships TEPD is pleased to announce the availability of the 2017-2018 TEPD departmental scholarships for students admitted to CMU s teacher education program. These scholarships will be awarded in early May 2017 for the 2017-2018 academic year. Recipients will receive a congratulatory letter. A listing of recipients will also be posted on the TEPD website. The application deadline is: Friday, March 17 at 5:00 pm in EHS 421. The value of each scholarship is subject to a lot of variability so TEPD is not able to post dollar values for the scholarships. Exact amounts awarded to recipients will appear on tuition bills. Two (2) letters of recommendation from any subject matter methods course faculty stressing teaching potential of applicant 5. One recipient Paul G. and Sophia H. Cartwright Memorial Scholarship 4. Two or three (2-3) letters of recommendation 5. Brief statement of educational philosophy (1 page maximum) 6. One recipient; past recipients are eligible 7. Renewable John and Mary Ann (Kaatz) Click Endowed Scholarship 1. Be enrolled in a Service-Oriented Studies Program within the College 2. Must work a minimum of 10 hours per week 3. 2.5 GPA minimum 4. Must submit the following: name, address, CMU Global ID and ID #, Major or planned major, place of employment with employer s name and contact information. 5. An essay detailing your choice of career, the reason(s) for choosing a career, and the contribution you hope to make through your service Cochran/Burke Scholarship for Excellence in Middle Level Education 4. Must be majoring in a STEM field and aiming to teach middle/high school 5. Must be an advocate for the advancement of women in STEM fields 6. One recipient 7.
