ABOUT STUDENTS FOR THE EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SPACE (SEDS) SEDS is a non-profit, student-centered organization committed to the vision of a spacefaring human civilization. SEDS was founded in 1980 by Peter Diamandis, Bob Richards, and Todd Hawley. Since then, SEDS has expanded to 33 chapters in 21 states, with a total reach of over 5000 students. SEDS members are involved on the local and national level with technical projects, educational outreach, and political advocacy. ABOUT SPACEVISION SpaceVision is the annual national conference of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, and has taken place since 2004. Previous SpaceVision locations include Boulder, CO, Buffalo, NY, Phoenix, AZ, and Raleigh, NC. SpaceVision attracts over 200 student attendees yearly, from SEDS chapters across the country, including 50-75 local students. SpaceVision 2015 is hosted in cooperation between SEDS-USA and Boston University SEDS. In 2014, student attendees paid only 38% of the per-attendee cost: SEDS is committed to keeping attendance affordable for all students To partner with SpaceVision, contact SEDS-USA Vice Chair Zach Pace (zach.pace@seds.org) Page 2

CAREER DEVELOPMENT: 76% of attendees cite personal and professional growth or networking as their main reason for coming to SpaceVision. SEDS is happy to help you capitalize on the critical mass of committed young people present. All sponsors and exhibitors will have abundant facetime with our over 200 extraordinary student attendees, and are encouraged to seek interns. SEDS is also pleased to partner with several NASA Space Grant Consortia willing to fund 30-50% of summer stipends for students recruited at SpaceVision. Additionally, SpaceVision 2015 will include a Young Professional and Career Development track, geared towards transitioning young engineers into tomorrow's aerospace leaders. Programming will include a resume workshop, mock interview opportunities, and one-on-one time with successful SEDS alumni. We welcome participation by our sponsors on Friday afternoon's Early Career Panel. Sign up soon to reserve your spot! TRAVEL GRANTS: Most students pay out of pocket or are funded by their chapter to attend SpaceVision. This precludes attendance by many students whose personal financial situation or level of chapter support does not permit travel to an expensive city like Boston. Your sponsorship will help SEDS award partial or full travel funding to chapters in need, allowing key leaders from traditionally-absent chapters to attend. SEDS-USA will award up 10 $10,000 to deserving students in early September. Please consider adding a further $100 or more to your organization's sponsorship to directly fund students' registration, transportation, or lodging costs at SpaceVision. In doing so, you are directly impacting the professional development of an individual, as well as the future of their chapter. Every dollar makes a difference! Typical Student Cost Breakdown Flight to Boston $375 Conference Registration $100 Hotel (3 nights, quad occupancy) $250 Total $625 To partner with SpaceVision, contact SEDS-USA Vice Chair Zach Pace (zach.pace@seds.org) Page 7
