MISSION & PURPOSE Whole Life Ministries is a full-gospel, non-denominational church which was established as a result of a vision God gave our Pastor, Sandra Kennedy. The mandate given to Whole Life Ministries is to "Grow Up the Body of Christ and Teach Them Victory." To that end, all the energies and resources of Whole Life Ministries are dedicated to implementing the various phases of that vision in the fullness of God's timing. It is the purpose of Whole Life Ministries to teach men and women of all walks of life, and from every nation that it is God's will and purpose that mankind be restored to a rightful relationship with Him. God desires that we walk in this relationship and allow His spirit to live through us right now on the Earth. It is our desire to help people reach their full potential in Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 - "May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. iwlm Summer Internship Program is an awesome opportunity for students to experience hands-on training in a fun, fast-paced, and God-honoring church leadership environment. This 8-week volunteer based program is designed for students who have a heart to serve in church ministry. We aim to instill godly principles throughout the course of the program by setting high expectations that align with the Word of God. iwlm falls under the mandate given to Whole Life Ministries, in that all the energies and resources of WLM are dedicated to empowering the next generation and developing their skills as leaders. iwlm interns are primed to utilize the skills that they ve acquired in this work-study program and apply them in their real-world experiences. Psalm 78:2-7- 2 I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, 3 things from of old things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done 7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW Work performed at WLM provides learning opportunities and helps develop skills that are marketable in multiple settings. This will include shadowing and observation, helping to organize events, participation in community outreach efforts, learning how to use common software programs to design promotional materials and other networking opportunities. Training and close supervision will be in place to provide insight into proper job decorum and the handling of the public. Under no circumstances will interns be permitted to represent WLM to the public without direct consent of their supervisor. Interns will shadow and observe regular employees to learn about the work that the employees perform, but will not perform those duties in a manner that makes them solely responsible. Interns will not be given the responsibility to be in charge of a business, such as the bookstore or the cafe. Interns will work part-time or for limited periods of time under the instruction of their supervisor. Interns should understand that completing the program does not guarantee a job. Interns will not be paid for work completed throughout the duration of the internship program. Ideally, this internship program is postured for the interns to receive academic credit, community service hours or work experience as allowed by the educational institution they attend. The work accomplished and skills learned from the internship program will be recorded via a final and midterm evaluation.
