BHS Anime Club Our BHS Anime Club Movie Party will be Monday, November 12th, from 3-5:30PM. Leading Ladies Today, you will have a meeting. We will have guest speakers and do an activity for Veteran's Day. See you soon!! JV Cheer Try-Outs JV Cheer try-outs will be held on today, and tomorrow from 3:30-5:30 in the gym.

Campus Life We will be meeting in room 108 during A and B lunch today. Gaming Club The gaming club will be meeting Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 in room 140. Open Gym Boys Basketball Program is sponsoring an open gym tonight at 8pm-9:30pm in the field house. All grades sheets are due at the beginning of practice. Everyone is welcome to attend. ACT PRACTICE TEST FREE! Attention juniors and sophomores. If you missed the first session, don t worry, you still have an opportunity to take the ACT practice test for free. This will take place on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Bradford. This is a professional learning day for teachers and as students you are off on that day. The junior session will run from 7:30-11:45, and the sophomore test will take place from 12:30 to 2:30. Please sign up in advance of the date in room 151. Boys Basketball Try-Out Boys Basketball Tryouts are NEXT MONDAY November 12th- Wednesday November 14th pick up the athletic forms from Coach Gross in room 154 or Mrs. Smith in Room 151. Forms must be returned and cleared before you are able to tryout. Wrestling Anyone interested in Bradford Wrestling - please get your paper work to Ms. Smith in room 151 at Bradford ASAP. Also, there is a mandatory body fat test on Wednesday, November 14th at 3PM, for all wrestlers who have not completed this. Got books??? FBLA is currently conducting a book drive. All books collected will be donated to local elementary schools, the Shalom Center, and/or Women's and Children's Horizons. The drive goes until November 14. All books in good condition are accepted. Drop off your books in the library. THANK YOU!

Bradford Got Talent! Can you write poetry? Can you rhyme some rap lyrics? Do you and your friends make videos singing and dancing? If so, the Kenosha County Community is encouraging students or groups of students to participate in a poetry, rap and/or video challenge. The poetry or rap contest requires a minimum of 16 lines/ bar or more. The theme focus of the contest is: The Healing Power of Kindness The student or groups of students, participating should clearly convey the importance of kindness through their poetic lines or rap lyrics. If you wish to showcase yourself or group with poetry, and rapping lyrics for everyone to see on video this is your chance to be a star. All lyric content must be clean for poetry, rap, and video challenge. Seniors For more information see your English teacher. The Bradford Alumni Association is awarding 15 scholarships in the amount of $21,773 for the 2019 graduating seniors. The application is on the Bradford Scholarship site and is due to Mrs. Mars April 10th. Gateway Specialist On-Site Juniors & Seniors, Mrs. Patrice, the Gateway Specialist for new student from Gateway is here all day on Thursdays. She will be able to answer your questions about Gateway programs, Start College Now, enroll in CAN classes, and the many other resources that Gateway has to offer. See your Guidance Counselor to make an appointment today. George Williams College will be visiting Bradford tomorrow at 10 am in room 219. George Williams is a campus of 350 students in Lake Geneva. Admission requirements are a 2.5 GPA with a 19 on the ACT. Programs include: Psychology, Nursing, Business and Social Work. Students are directly admitted to nursing with a 3.2 GPA and an ACT of a 23. If interested in hearing more, sign up on the career and College Board or see Mrs. Mars.

Interested in going to Gateway Technical College in Burlington and learn about their cosmetology, nursing, fire medic and EMT program? If so, pick up a permission slip on the career and College Board outside of room 219 or see Mrs. Mars. The trip is November 15th; forms are due back on November 7th. Oshkosh will be here November 14 at 8 am in room 219. Oshkosh is the 3rd largest university in Wisconsin with about 13, 000 students with an average ACT score of 22 and GPA of a 3.5. They offer over 20 intercollegiate division 3 sports with over 60 different majors including Radio & television, nursing and pre-law. If interested in hearing more, sign up on the college and career board outside of room 219 or see Mrs. Mars. Interested in taking a trip to Gateway Technical College in Kenosha to learn more about their Nursing, IT, Supply Chain Management and Surgical Technology programs? If so, pick up a permission slip on the career and College Board outside of room 219 or see Mrs. Mars. Trip is November 29th and forms are due by November 16th. UW Milwaukee will be at Bradford Nov. 19th in room 219 at 1pm. UW Milwaukee is a campus of about 30,000 students requiring an ACT of at least a 21. Top programs include: Architecture, Film, American Sign Language and Nursing. Also, Milwaukee is ranked 5th in the nation for the number of Fortune 500 companies located here leading to many opportunities for paid internship. If interested in hearing more, sign up outside of room 218 or see Mrs. Mars. Northern Michigan will be visiting Bradford Nov. 20th at 1:30 in room 219. Northern Michigan is a 4 year public college of about 9,000 students located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They offer Division 1 Hockey and Division 2 Golf and Football. Popular programs include: Film, Preprofessional programs, Athletic Trainer, Nursing & Radiology. Admission is likely if they rank in the top ½ of their class.
