Boys Basketball 2018 5 10 PG Chris Calhoun Jr. (Chicago Agricultural HS, IL) Update: Calhoun, who is in the process of scheduling visits for after the high school season, has heard from a series of schools such as Aurora University (D3), Governor s State (NAIA), and Simpson College (D3) in recent weeks. 2019 6 PG J.R. Cison (Lake Zurich HS, IL) Update: Cison, a quick and athletic lead guard with terrific court vision who just joined the Dark Horse family this past week, has had early contact with the likes of Miami of Ohio (D1) among other scholarshiplevel schools. 2018 6 PG Zack Ludwig (St. Charles North HS, IL) Update: Ludwig has been in contact with North Central (D3), North Park (D3), Cornell (D3), Roosevelt (NAIA), and St. Ambrose (NAIA) among others, and Lawrence University (D3) joined in this week. 2019 6 3 G Ryan Verhulst (Hersey HS, IL) Update: The sharp-shooting Verhulst just joined the Dark Horse family and has had some early interactions with Abilene Christian (D1) and some top-tier D3 programs. 2018 6 4 G Jack Hood Update: The uncommitted Hood has visited Benedictine, Loras, and Monmouth (all D3), and has expressed strong recent interest in several Junior Colleges who are now following the athletic scoring guard. 2018 6 6 F Kyle King (St. Charles North HS, IL) Update: Over the past two weeks, several high-level D3 programs including Augustana, UW-Whitewater, and St. Thomas have been on the uncommitted senior, but he s also in contact with D2 schools University of Mary, Upper Iowa, and MN State. He is scheduling visits for after the season. 2018 6 5 G Kyle LeFevre (Batavia HS, IL) Update: Augustana College (D3), Washington University in St. Louis (D3), and UW-Platteville (D3) remain in touch with Kyle, but Lawrence University (D3) is the newest school to join in on his recruitment over the past week.
Performances of the Week 2020 6 F Lindsay Blackmore Performance: In a win over conference rival St. Charles East this past week, Blackmore scored 15 points to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 blocks. Blackmore s Geneva team is the top seed in their sectional this week. 2018 6 6 Wing Kam Mack (Jacobs HS, IL) Performance: Mack, who remains uncommitted at this point as he awaits admissions decisions from several schools, led Jacobs to a win this weekend with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Alumni Spotlight 2016 6 8 F Bennett Fuzak Current School: University of North Georgia (D2) Performance: While playing 30 minutes, Fuzak scored 16 points (8-16 FG) and grabbed 4 rebounds as he led UNG against UNC Pembroke this weekend. 2014 6 6 G John Konchar Current School: Fort Wayne (D1) Performance: Konchar is in the midst of yet another all-league caliber season, and he had 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists against Omaha on Saturday. 2020 6 F Kathryn Schmidt (Burlington Central HS, IL) Performance: Schmidt led the Rockets with 19 points as they defeated Woodstock North HS and secured the conference championship this past week. 2019 5 11 G Jordan Wilkins Performance: Wilkins scored a game-high 14 points for West Chicago as they took on conference opponent Bartlett early last week. 2017 6 6 G Rowan McGowen (Wheaton North HS, IL) Current School: Loras College (D3) Performance: After going 5-8 from beyond the three-point arc and scoring 15 points against rival Buena Vista, McGowen now leads the nation in 3PT% (51.7%). 2015 6 2 G Josh Ruggles (Wheaton- Warrenville South HS, IL) Current School: Loras College (D3) Performance: Ruggles is in the middle of an All-American caliber season, and in his latest high-powered performance, he shot 14-21 on the road against Nebraska Wesleyan, scoring 42 points.
Football 2019 CB Justin Agema (Naperville Central HS, IL) Update: Agema received new camp invites from Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Eureka, Williams, Jamestown, and Middlebury this week. 2019 WR Brandt Stare (Neuqua Valley HS, IL) Update: Columbia and Princeton have both invited the Neuqua and Midwest Boom wide receiver to junior days in the coming months. 2019 WR Harper Cole (Waubonsie Valley HS, IL) Update: Cole has attracted the interest of several Ivy League schools, including most recently Columbia, Princeton, and Harvard. 2019 RB/WR Nick Treco (Mallard Creek HS, NC) Update: More Ivy League interest for Treco, as Columbia has invited Treco to attend a junior day this spring. 2020 QB Danny Cronin (Fenwick HS, IL) Update: Harvard has expressed serious interest in Cronin after viewing his film and learning more about him over the past few weeks. 2018 OL Anthony Leopold (Fenwick HS, IL) Update: Catholic University is at the top of Leopold s list after he visited the school and was offered a roster spot a few weeks ago. He will soon be interviewing with the admissions committee for the school. 2018 WR Caleb Price (Arlington HS, OH) Update: Walsh University (D2) offered Price last week, and he s also looking at Gannon, Trine, and Akron. Youngstown State and Grand Valley State have remained in contact with Price, who is expected to make his final decision soon.
Girls Basketball 2019 5 9 G Quin Earley Update: Earley, who has visited Washington University in St. Louis, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, Catholic, and the University of Chicago (all D3), is beginning to schedule several other visits for this spring. 2020 5 9 G Jaz Harmon (Ravenwood HS, TN) Update: Harmon, who just joined the Dark Horse family, already has a scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (D1). Several other D1 schools are also in contact. 2018 5 11 F Kelle Knopp (Plainfield North HS, IL) 2018 5 7 PG Sofia Radice Update: Radice, who remains unsigned, was contacted this week by coaches from the University of Maine at Fort Kent (NAIA). Alderson Broaddus (D2) and Quincy (D2) remain in touch, with AB working to schedule an official visit. 2020 6 Wing Lindsey Rogers Update: The sophomore Rogers already holds a scholarship offer from the University of Minnesota (D1). She s new to the Dark Horse family and has a big spring and summer ahead. Update: Knopp is awaiting admissions decisions from Hope College (D3) and North Park University (D3). She recently grabbed her 1,100 th career rebound at Plainfield North, giving her the school record by over 400 rebounds. 2019 6 2 F Ashley Konkle Update: Konkle is also a new addition to the Dark Horse family, and she joins us already holding a scholarship offer from D2 Hillsdale College. 2019 5 8 PG Clara Prasse Update: Another new member of the Dark Horse family, Prasse (who leads the area in assists this year) already holds a scholarship offer from D2 Truman State.
