WELCOME WEEK Java Jolt (MLK/SWC) January 17 & 18; 9 am 11 am MLK: Outside of Welcome Center (in case of inclement weather Turbon Student Center) SWC: Crossroads Coffee/hot chocolate/tea-provide students with refreshments to welcome them back. Information Station (MLK/SWC) January 17-January 20; M-R: 7 am 6:30 pm F: 8 am 12 pm MLK: Heritage Pavilion and outside of Welcome Center. SWC: Crossroads Provide students with directions and information during the first week of classes. Scavenger Hunt (MLK/SWC) January 18 & 19; 10 am 2 pm MLK: Start out at the Information Station, end at the Turbon Student Center SWC: Start at the Crossroads, end at the Student Center. Students will pick up a card from the information station and visit various departments on campus to familiarize themselves with the campus. Once completed, the student will return the completed card to the Student Center to receive a prize. Campus Safety, Security and Health Center Presentation January 24 & 25: Time:TBD Location: Morgan Gallery Students will receive information on campus safety, security and the role of the College Health Center. Various Universities from the surrounding areas and within the state will be present on both MLK and SWC campus to visit and advice students in regards to the transfer process. During these visits, the schools are promoting the 2+2 programs and its advantages. The Transfer Center staff will then advise the student and sign them onto the Joint Agreement. First Year Experience Center For more information contact FYE @ 486-2170 The Textbook Loan Program allows students to borrow a book for a semester. Books are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
