Collin County Staff: Amanda Parks 4-H Youth Development June was FULL of activities! June was a FULL month for Collin County 4-Hers. State Roundup was held at Texas A&M, June 11 th through the 14 th. Our kids competed very well and took home lots of hardware! Collin County Vet camp was a success with 40 campers enjoying three days of learning! Additionally, the District Horse Show was June 28 th 29 th. Finally, Outdoor Challenge was held June 22 nd -24 th! You can definitely say that our Collin 4-Hers were busy in June! Congrats to all our 4-Hers who participated in the District IV ULTRA Leadership Lab. Our kiddos spent three days expanding their leadership, communication skills, critical thinking skills, and having a lot of fun doing it! If you haven t participated in ULTRA, seriously consider going with us next year! Also, District officers were elected during this camp. Other News: Awards banquet is coming up!!!!!! We once again are going to do a slideshow with pictures throughout the year! Please begin sending any awesome photos you might have of your 4- H adventures to Leslie Dockery! or Amanda, and she will get them to her. It looks like we will be having a new Community Club starting up in Wylie for the 2018-2019 year! They are very interested in Livestock Judging and hope to have multiple teams competing throughout the year. Additionally, they are open to other projects and working with other clubs on a multitude of opportunities. Stay tuned for more information!

As our 2017-2018 4-H year comes to a close, Collin County Extension Office wants to give a huge THANK YOU to all the families, 4-Hers, volunteers, and sponsors that make our county one of the best! We could not have such an amazing organization without you. We have lots of fun and new things planned for next year, and we hope to see you there! We want to encourage each 4-Her to bring one friend into the 4-H family next year! After all, we want to share the FUN! Don t forget! Early 4-H connect sign up will be open August 15 th to early October ($20). After that, the price goes up to $25.
