Loyola Marymount University Loyola Marymount University provides an outstanding education to a diverse population of students, 70% of whom receive financial aid and many have traditionally lacked access. LMU wants students to be fulfilled in their lives and engaged in their community. So, with the University s support, nearly a fifth of faculty and students volunteer at agencies like food banks, childcare centers and homeless shelters. This institution constructed a state-of-the-art library built with green principles. Mount St. Mary s College A Catholic women s liberal arts college, Mount St. Mary s College has one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation. Bucking the trend of 20 women s colleges across the nation that have closed, become coed, or were acquired, enrollment at Mount St. Mary s has doubled, with significant enrollment from first-generation college students. To support the College s goal of educating women in science and math, Kresge support is making it possible to fund their Aging Research Laboratory and classroom technology.
