JOB SUMMARY Maggie s raises funds from a variety of sources including grant-making trusts foundations in the UK overseas, statutory bodies, the Big Lottery Fund as well as from opportunities through relationships with individual major donors, for both capital revenue. The role holder will have strategic ownership of the trust portfolio will lead the delivery of high quality successful applications, bids, reports, budgets, supporting documents for a diverse audience including existing new grant making bodies as well as for trusts that are driven by a major donor. The income stream from Trusts across the organisation is 1.5million the role holder will have direct responsibility for 1million of that income. The role holder will have an excellent knowledge of the market in Engl, Wales Scotl a keen appetite to seek out new funding opportunities whilst also assuming responsibility for overseeing stewardship of all contact with a portfolio of existing funders for maintaining the highest quality of donor care through the production of timely written oral communications. 1

To lead funding relationships with trusts across Maggie s supporting the Head of Trusts & Partnerships (Scotl) on Scottish relationships funding opportunities. 2. To meet Trust income target as defined by the annual budget. 3. To lead co-ordinate all trust activity across Maggie s, liaising with the Head of Trusts & Partnerships (Scotl), Centre Fundraisers wider Fundraising Development teams. 4. To identify research potential trust funders for current forthcoming regionally-focused capital campaigns (including London), as well as to meet revenue funding needs. 5. To manage the Big Lottery Fund relationship in Engl & Wales lead the strategic plan to maintain income levels. 6. To liaise with the Programme Director Finance Director on the programme funding needs priorities. 7. To oversee the preparation submission of high quality leadership led proposals supporting materials to potential donors, as agreed with the Development Director. 8. To develop maintain shopping list of existing activity development opportunities requiring financial support. 9. To establish contact with grant-making staff trustees to engage them directly in support of funding applications to take part in assessments/interviews as required. 10. To establish a grant management process in conjunction with the Head of Trusts & Partnerships (Scotl) that ensures that Maggie s meets the requirements of the relevant funding bodies. 11. To meet all reporting requirements of relevant funding bodies. 12. To develop sustain relationships with existing potential charitable trusts statutory funders 13. To attend monthly team meetings with the Director of Development the Head of Development Operations to set monitor team objectives, budgets, etc. 14. To attend monthly solicitation meetings led by the Director of Development. 15. To work with the Development Team to identify new creative ways to develop income from a high value audience. 16. To work with the Special Events team to ensure that key individuals associated with Trusts are stewarded through invitations to appropriate events. 17. To keep abreast of news about funding opportunities/income streams from charitable trusts, Big Lottery Fund statutory funders. KRA 2. Finance Policy Service Development: 18. 19. To work with the Director of Development to agree annual work plans income/expenditure plans. 20. To draft detailed project budgets for external audiences oversee the preparation submission of financial reports as part of the process of donor stewardship. KRA 3. Human Resources 21. To line manage a central trust team co-ordinate trust activity across Maggie s by liaising with Fundraising Directors, The Head of Trusts & Partnerships (Scotl) their teams. KRA 4. Research Development Activity 22. To be responsible for overseeing research to identify potential new donors to oversee solicitation plans designed to maximise the support of those donors. 23. To manage the drafting writing of compelling cases for support material for new Maggie s Centres. 24. To liaise with the Head of Development Operations in the development of applications reports, so as to obtain, underst present relevant project information management information. 25. To contribute to evaluation audit of fundraising activity as required. 26.
