The question-and-answer templates have been further coordinated and refined across purpose areas to ensure more uniformity and cohesiveness and to reduce duplication.
The strategic planning program (Purpose Area #2) has been updated for clarity and includes all five participating DOJ offices, while providing Purpose Area #2 grantees who submit an approved strategic plan with funding to implement the plan in whole or part in future fiscal years upon submission of an application. Awards are contingent upon the availability of funds.
Purpose Area #3 was updated to address the needs of young adults (ages 18-25) who are involved with or at risk of involvement with the justice system.
The OVW Tribal Sexual Assault Services program will continue to be administered separately from CTAS.
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) removed the eligibility restriction for Purpose Area 9 (Tribal Youth Programs) to allow all federally recognized tribes to apply and has changed the maximum award amount from $500,000 to $350,000. OJJDP has extended the award period for both Purpose Area 8 (Juvenile Healing to Wellness Courts) and Purpose Area 9 (Tribal Youth Program) to four years.
