Welcome to Cal State Apply Application Filing Periods Fall Entry (Freshmen & Transfers): Oct. 1 Nov. 30 Transfers must complete ALL admission requirements by end of spring term. Spring Entry (Transfers only): Aug. 1-31 Transfers must complete ALL admission requirements by end of summer term. www.calstate.edu/apply $55.00 application fee (Fee waivers are available and built into the application!) What s New You can now fill out ONE application and submit it to all 23 CSU campuses. Impacted campuses may ask for supplemental applications. EOP applications are now a part of the overall application. Only enter scores for tests that you have taken. A-G Matching section helps you keep track of your courses. Payment must be submitted in order to finish application!
Find Your Program & Major degrees.calstate.edu Search and find the CSU campus that offers the program you are looking for by using keywords. Once you find the right program, click on the Get Started link to begin working on your application.

Overview of Application Be as thorough as possible when filling out your Profile and Extended Profile section! After completing your profile, you will select the programs you are interested in applying to. App fees will reflect how many programs you are applying to. The application consists of 4 quadrants, each consisting of a progress meter. Use the column on the left side of the screen to navigate to each section within the quadrant.
In My Profile Email is the primary method of communication from CSU campuses; student will also receive generic reminders from the CSU to complete application. Advise for student/parents: Create separate email account that parents and students have password to and both can check. This allows for responsibility of process to fall on both student and parents.
Save Changes Will Appear In Blue if all necessary fields entered. US Citizenship Status AB 540 students select None. International Students select Non Resident.
Tip: Easier to type in MM/DD/YYYY rather than try to select date from year Personal Information
Tip: This information should match what student inputted for extended profile.
If you have a SSN, you are required to enter it in.

Indicate if school is on a Semester, Quarter, Trimester, or Full Year type. Transcript Entry will adjust according to the term type. Indicate when inputting year if you want summer included to input summer school.
Linked with UC A G course list so it ll pull all acceptable classes for the start of what you enter Course Type Select None if just College Prep and not Honors or AP
Sample Transcript Entry ** If you took Algebra or Foreign Language in middle school, enter it as 9 th grade.
Repeated Courses Must be the exact same course. Ex. Cannot be AP World History and then CP World History. They are not the same course If you repeated the course, only enter in the highest grade earned of the repeated course. Example. D in Biology 10 th grade 1 st semester. Repeated it in 11 th grade 1 st semester received C. Enter in C grade, not D
If are currently in progress for a repeated course, then you need to enter in original grade, then list course as in progress for the appropriate year. Ex. D in Biology 10 th grade 1 st semester. Repeating course in 12 th grade 1 st semester.
Language Other than English Q. What if I took Spanish 2 and not Spanish 1? How do I enter in coursework? Enter Spanish 2 and the grades you earned. Add a row and enter in Waiver of LOTE. Insert Pass for 1 st semester and Pass for 2 nd semester grades.
A G Matching Change A G Matching for Waiver of LOTE and assign E for LOTE in order for subject years to count.
Applying as a First-Time Freshman Indicate if the course is AP, IB, or Honors by using the drop-down menu. When entering your coursework, make sure to click Save All after completing each term. Use the A-G Matching section to make sure you meet all the a-g requirements.
ACT to share test scores with all campuses the applicant has applied. SAT scores will be shared with all campuses that the applicant has applied to as long as one CSU campus is sent the test results. 3594 Code for Cal State Apply is still valid
Students need to have tests completed by the Dec. test date. San Jose, San Luis Obispo, San Diego require exams done by Nov. for SAT/Oct for ACT CSU Maritime for Early Admission complete by Oct for SAT and ACT

Only if you re going to apply for EOP. If you are not, select I am not adding any EOP Recommendations.
Students Applying to EOP must indicate 2 recommenders. Students can change this information provided it s before the EOP document deadline Advise students to put a deadline date of at least a month before EOP document deadline to ensure they have enough time to gather materials/obtain recommendation.
Last tile to complete is the Program Materials Strongly Encourage students, even if it s all green to read the information. It s where campuses put their info for the student on their application process. Additional information we want students to know when applying.

Tips For Your Application Citizenship is not the same as Residency! The entire application process takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete. Use the blue Save and Continue box in order to continue. If it is grayed out, then additional information is required before moving on to another area. Download your submitted application at the end as a PDF for your records. Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email to indicate it was received. CSUCI will send you an email to set up your Student Portal.
