WHAT S NEXT?? MARCHING BAND SCHEDULE

NEW MEMBER REHEARSAL Freshmen, new members, leadership council, and drumline will begin rehearsals earlier than other band students at HHS band room on: Monday and Tuesday, July 2-3 from 8:30-11:30am This will give them a chance to rehearse music and learn the basics of marching before the entire band arrives. *ALL band students will rehearse on July 3 at 10am for the 4th of July Parade.

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE Wednesday, July 4, from 8:30-10:30 am. Meet in the parking lot of Hunters Woods Plaza E. Market Street at 8:30am. The high school will be open at 8:00am for students that will not be able to attend the rehearsal, and need a school instrument. Be sure you have the following Your instrument (leave your case at home or in your car) Music to Howland Fight Song and Hang on Sloopy if you don t have it memorized. Please wear the summer uniform consisting of the ORANGE classic Howland Band t-shirt, black mesh band logo shorts, and tennis shoes The band will go near the beginning of the parade so those of you who need to ride a float or be with your sports or dance team can get a ride up to the parade start and join your second group. Pick up your marching band binder of music in the band room following the parade.

FEES The cost for band camp is $250 Includes: camp fees, housing and all meals for camp, dry cleaning fees for marching and concert uniforms, a show themed t-shirt, and an official tiger band drawstring bag, water bottle, and instrument case tag. You may write one check for the entire amount if you prefer or divide up the fees into two payments. The first payment of $125 is due June 20. The second payment of $125 is due on July 20. Box 8921 Warren, OH 44484 Please make checks payable to Howland Band Boosters. **Majorette total band fees are $220 (minus uniform dry cleaning)**

FEES Due to transportation costs of marching band, a school participation fee of $80 ($40 for those on free and reduced lunch) will continue to be paid by all band members. This check should be written to Howland Local Schools and paid to the High School activities office. Forms and more information can be found at howlandschools.com under the athletics section of the website.

MEDICAL FORMS We must have a completed emergency medical form for each student when band rehearsals begin. If your student is allergic to bee stings and uses an epi-pen, please send it the first day of band. Students are permitted to carry their own inhalers for asthma at all band functions.
