Tom provided some great insight into central geothermal plant design. The final two luncheons are covering topics that should be very beneficial so please plan on attending. We start off on March 8 th with a discussion on field verification of fan performance followed up by a tech session on fan selection basics. Our last luncheon of the year has another distinguished lecturer in town to provide information on Building Performance Analysis April 12 th. To wrap up the year we will be having the golf outing May 20 th. Information on the outing is included in the newsletter. I am pleased to announce the accomplishments of University of Cincinnati student Tao Yu. Tao, an undergraduate mechanical engineering student, was selected by the ASHRAE Scholarship Trustees at the Society s 2011 Winter Conference to receive a one-year $3,000 General Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. Congratulations Tao! I would also like to wish the University of Cincinnati luck in the ASHRAE student design project. They have two teams entering the competition and have really put a great deal of time and effort into the contest. It is nice to see the future of the industry becoming involved in ASHRAE. GO Bearcats! Best Regards, Peter Skelly
