(Page 22 of 2016 Troop Cookie Manager Guidebook) From SU Cookie Manager FB group: Quick protip: Hit CTRL-F5 every time before you log in. It helps...tremendously so. This is how the browser catches the updates. I did this and the cookie sheet started showing up. Snap is not supported for use with ipad, iphone, Android devices, or Apple computers using the Safari browser. For best results, a computer with Chrome or Firefox is recommended. Snap survival Guide-Copies available Cookie Booth Transactions-it is not recommended to use the Smart Divider. Instead use the Transfer Orders page to record how many cookies girls sold at cookie booths just like you normally would when girls sell cookies. You ll also need to record that these cookies have been paid for on the Finances page (because these cookies have been paid for at the booth). Cookie Booths Sales-With the Smart Divider not functioning, we have no way to share current cookie booth data with other troops. We have created a form on River Valleys website to collect cookie booth sales information. This form is completely optional and is not linked to Snap. However, filling out your sales data on this form will allow River Valleys to March 8, 2016 Page 1
share booth sales information with other troops. Again, reporting booth sales through this form is voluntary. As a bonus the form will email you a nice summary of the data for your records. Rewards at the 650+ level and above are sent directly to the Girl Scout s home. Do not contact Snap s help desk. Please always call or email River Valleys to get accurate answers to your questions. We can be reached at 800-845- 0787 or girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org. Tuesday, April 5 - Rochester from 6:30-8 pm Tuesday, April 12 - Brooklyn Center from 6:30-8 pm Thursday, April 14 - Hudson, Wisconsin from 6:30-8 pm Thursday, April 14 - Tracy from 6:30-8 pm Tuesday, April 19 - Mankato from 6:30-8 pm Did you know River Valleys has 157 service units? That means there are 1,256 service unit positions being filled by volunteers! Fill your vacant positions now by making a list of people who have the skill or make a list of those that you think would benefit from learning a new skill. Once you have your list, let them know why you think they would make a good service unit team member. Like our girl program, service unit roles build adults with courage, confidence, and character. Roles require no experience and can be shared with another person. River Valleys supplies training and support for these new volunteers. Camp Promotional Resources Available to Volunteers To encourage and motivate our service unit volunteers to promote resident, troop, and day camp at upcoming leader meetings, we created fun, easy-to-use resources that are available to download on the service unit manager page. Resources include "How to Talk about Camp" script and slides, a camp video, and camp-themed social images. In addition, service unit volunteers have the option to order a camp promotional kit which includes brochures and camp-themed giveaways to share with leaders. It's time to register for camp! Girl Scout Camp is an opportunity for girls to find their strengths and challenge themselves as the navigate activities on the water, at the campsite, and on the trail. They'll find fun, courage, adventure, and most importantly - they'll find themselves! Resident camp registration is now open. Register by February 29 to receive a 10% discount (just use promo code: CAMP2016). Troop camp, our specialty day camps, and Swim Team registration will open on March 1. We are excited to be offering two new day camps this summer - Rosie's Girls, which allow girls to explore the world of skilled trades, and Camp CEO, where girls learn what March 8, 2016 Page 4
it takes to make a business work. Explore these new camps and all of our camp sessions at Camp.GirlScoutsRV.org!
