Jeppiaar Engineering College Entrepreneurship Development Cell Vision: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell is committed to nurture and develop entrepreneurial skills in experiential manner among the students community. Mission : The mission of EDC is to mould entrepreneurial thinking in our students and to create a business opportunity in and out of the campus with a great stability to achieving social and economic progress through entrepreneurship. Objectives 1. Fostering and developing entrepreneurship among the student community 2. Enhancing innovative thinking in order to develop new products 3. To develop as incubation center for all phases of entrepreneurship 4. To get the innovative product 5. Provide advisory services to the budding Entrepreneurs 6. To encourage to file more number of patent 7. Encourage to set Campus company / start- up company within the campus 8. Community Engagement

Introduction The EDC was established in Jeppiaar engineering college with faculty members from different department in the year 2004. It has been conducting the various entrepreneurship development programs in order to promote and inculcate the entrepreneurial skills in the minds of young students. The Entrepreneurship development institute(edi) Tamil nadu along with Anna university Chennai has identified our college as one of the spoke colleges under the college Innovation & Entrepreneurship development program(iedp) on 18 th October, 2016. All our EDC activity will be facilitated by Anna University being the hub institution for IEDP. The successful implementation of program is based on the structure the set of activities on campus, ideation, opportunity evaluation and selection, and most importantly, management involvement in the whole process. E-cell is all about creating & providing platform to all the persons, who all wants to be emerging entrepreneurs. E-cell is about influencing young persons to lead our world economy for better future. E-cell acts as incubator to Society, developing future entrepreneurs. Our E-cell is registered with NEN-group, an initiative by Wadhwani group. Dr.J.Wilson sahayaraj, Mr.P.Chellapandi, Ms.B.Harini and Mr.S.Anbudasan are trained facilitators by EDII Tamil Nadu. Dr. J.Wilson sahayaraj, M.Sc. Ph.D. EDC coordinator Dr. J.Wilson sahayaraj, Associate professor of chemistry has 14 years experience in teaching. He has completed his UG and PG degree from Bharathidasan University, doctoral degree from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has shown his academic excellence by giving 100% results in the Anna University Examinations. He worked as project fellow in the project sanctioned by University Grant commission. He has published 28 research papers in esteem refereed journals. His research publications show interest in the field of corrosion science, Electrochemistry, battery, environmental science, musical chemistry and chemical education. He presented 34 papers in National and International conferences. He has crown with the best paper award, best teacher award and special award for the purpose of research from various colleges. He has given invited lecture in colleges and organizes the international conferences. He is a Reviewer in Journal of Alloys and Compounds Elsevier Journal. He filed two patent in the field of simplify Digital box for chemistry learning and Students Monitoring Device For Chemistry Experiment. He is a member in international association for engineers and Confederation of Indian Industry. He is a certified facilitator by Entrepreneurship development Innovation institute, Tamil Nadu. Apart from the academic, being a EDC coordinator, He had the passion to promote the entrepreneurship to the student community by Conducting entrepreneurship courses for students. He organized many events with Government/Non Government inside the college as well as outside the college. He has got fund of Rs 20,000 from department Science and Technology (DST) to conduct Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC). He has got fund of Rs1,22,050 as student project from Entrepreneurship development Innovation institute, Tamil Nadu, to construct IEDP web portal. He trained and motivates the students to bring the start up company in college campus

First round is preliminary and second one is main.

Learnwise Program. The Jeppiaar Engineering college associated with CED- Anna university EDI with help of Wadhwani foundation, conducted Entrepreneurship courses for the benefit of our students.
