Message FROM THE DIRECTOR Bonners Ferry Boundary Sandpoint Bonner This year, Panhandle Health District is celebrating 46 years of providing public health services! From no-cost cancer screenings to community water management, our services and programs have protected people from disease and fostered access to a clean environment. A lot has changed in the last 46 years in North Idaho. Our community is growing and facing new health challenges, including an aging population and an increasing demand for mental health services. In 2018, we will continue monitoring local health concerns and strive for greater health outcomes. We are focusing on three specific goals for 2018: to positively impact population health, to steward collaboration with community partners and to ensure organizational efficiency and capability. Our team of 115+ professionals serving 5 different counties are committed to delivering innovative and high quality public health services to all. In partnership with community members, leaders and organizations, we will continue northern Idaho s legacy of being the premier place to live, work and play. The 5 counties in our region, in accordance with Idaho code 39-424, contribute approximately 10% of our budget.
