DCL CHEER CHAMPIONSHIP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Wayland will be hosting the Dual County League Cheer Championship on Thursday November 1, 630pm. The girls will be working hard to host their first championship at our new facility. We will need assistance to ensure all schools have a great experience and the potential to host future championships. Please contact Coach Meghan Connor at megconnor8@hotmail.com to volunteer. FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SPECTATOR INFO We would like to inform families that the ticket booth will be located at the end of the service road, located near the field house. Here are some helpful tips to ensure an enjoyable night of Wayland sports: HANDICAP PARKING - All handicap parking will be reserved near the varsity baseball field parking lot (towards the back near the field house). This lot is reserved for handicap, officials and police parking only. Signs will direct you to this lot. SPECTATOR ENTRANCE All spectators will be asked to enter the event through the service road entrance near the field house. (Also near the handicap parking lot) SPECTATOR PARKING All spectators may park in any lined parking space located on the school campus (Wayland Town Pool lot, front of school lot and field house lot.) Handicap parking lot will be reserved for cars with a handicap license or tag on their car. TICKET BOOTH The ticket booth location for the Acton Boxboro game will be near the field house garage located at the bottom of the service road. Tickets will prices will be $5 for students/senior citizens and $7 for adults. (Students enrolled in 6 th grade and higher are considered students ) AVOID We ask all spectators to avoid parking their vehicles along the bus/car lane curb. We must allow room for emergency vehicles to enter the campus without any impedance. The safety of our athletes depends on the travel efficiency of our Town of Wayland emergency health staff

4 [Type the document title] to aid them is cases of emergency. WAYLAND COMMUNITY FALL FESTIVAL On Saturday, October 13 th, SADD is hosting a community-wide Fall Festival on the high school softball field from 11-4. The purpose of this event is to bring the whole community together for a fun-filled day while spreading the message of SADD to Wayland. There will be donut-eating contests, pumpkin painting, music, and many other activities for all ages. One of our main attractions is a dunk tank, so we are searching for teachers from all Wayland schools to volunteer to sit in the dunk tank for a few minutes. We would appreciate all the volunteers we can get! Please email Isabel Schwartz or Jaimie Forti (isabel_schwartz@student.wayland.k12.ma.us or jaimie_forti@student.wayla nd.k12.ma.us) if you would like to be in the dunk tank, or if you have any other questions! TEAMS BOYS ICE HOCKEY The Wayland Athletic Department is happy to announce the hiring of new Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Head Coach Rian Murray. Coach Murray has been involved with the Wayland Varsity Hockey program from 2009 to present as an assistant coach under Eric Brown. Coach Murray has instilled the motivation and competitiveness in our athletes and looks to continue his leadership from the head position. Coach Murray s coaching experiences range from coaching with the Assabet Valley Patriots U-18 Select team, the Natick Chill in the NE Future Stars League and Wayland high school from 2009 to present. Rian is a graduate of Assumption College. We wish Coach Murray all the best this season. SCORES MONDAY 9/24 GOLF WAYLAND 91 LINCOLN SUDBURY 98 WESTON 98 WAYLAND 4 WALTHAM HS 0
