We re in the Orthopedic Capital of the World. And we re working to make sure it stays here. The orthopedic industry ecosystem has many moving parts. From innovators and academics, to those who develop, make and sell, to our regional stakeholders. At OrthoWorx, we are a catalyst, deepening connections so we can achieve greater results, together.

Our Roots. We are an initiative formed in 2009 in Warsaw, Indiana the Orthopedic Capital of the World. We received initial funding from the Lilly Endowment Inc. to fill a critical void in the industry by serving as a connection for industry members, education, and our community to create change. Today, we continue in that unique role, working with orthopedic industry members, academic partners and community leaders to capitalize on the resources and expertise in our region and drive progress. Our work maintains and enhances Northern Indiana as the epicenter of global orthopedic activity today and in the future. It is our mission to ensure that our industry and the communities that depend on its success thrive with social and economic benefits for generations to come. We accomplish this through three core initiatives: Talent Development Talent Attraction Innovation $17 BILLION Annual revenue generated by our region s orthopedic companies

4.4 Million Projected number of hip and knee replacements per year in the United States by 2030. Talent Development 92% Passing Percentage of passing science I-STEP scores at Warsaw Community Schools, up from 62% since the start of the OrthoWorx supported STEM Elementary Academy. 50% of the world s joint reconstruction market Warsaw-based orthopedic companies represent 50% of the world s joint reconstruction market. Talent Attraction 5X The Innovation Warsaw has a patent rating five times more than the rest of Indiana. Innovation 15X Kosciusko County (Warsaw s county seat) is fifteen times more innovative than the U.S. as a whole.

Building a talented workforce for an industry on the move. The orthopedic industry continues to grow driven by treating the underlying needs of musculoskeletal patients and improving people s lives. So we partner with schools and universities to provide educational opportunities across the spectrum that meet the industry s needs, engaging students early on, helping them transition to meaningful careers and providing opportunities to keep learning after college. In this industry, there is something for everyone from joint replacement to patient care, sports medicine to trauma and even dental. Our work creates awareness of the industry s opportunities so students and employees can find the right fit and reach their full potential. Projects STEM and experiential education in grades K-12 Workforce development for secondary and technical school Think Ortho campaign to engage college students with programs and internships Professional development and curriculum for co-ops, interns and young professionals Engagement with academic partners through faculty projects and workshops Making our community a more vibrant, vital place to attract top talent. We focus on elevating our quality of life in Northern Indiana to continue attracting, recruiting and retaining talented people ready to work on a global scale. We provide programs and social events for interns and young professionals to connect them with opportunities right out of college. And we re leveraging resources to make life even better here by conducting studies that spark positive change in our region and beyond. Cultivating opportunities for advancement and invention. We believe breakthroughs are still out there. So we work with academic and industry partners to identify future trends and challenges in the orthopedic industry and meet those needs today through strategic planning and foresight. Our region is home to the largest orthopedic medical device concentration of expertise in the world. We work to align people, ideas and capital to improve the likelihood of success for startups. Together, we re making a better future for all of us.
