Membership Members of CHIME are the highest ranking IT executives within their organization or facility. A typical CHIME member oversees the information services department and chairs the information technology steering committee within their organization. The new CHIME TransformIT portal gives members a convenient and easy-to-use resource to benchmark IT budgetary spending with peers, along with the ability to identify and contact others who use the same vendor application. The dashboard enables the creation of customized reports using data that includes IT budgets, financials and other statistics, all powered by HIMSS Analytics. A one-stop shop to access case studies and solutions for addressing today s complicated health IT landscape. This platform allows members to share knowledge and best practices specific to the healthcare industry. Professional Development We understand that our members seek to advance professionally in their roles. To this end, we have created industry-specific certifications that speak to the knowledge and expertise they have gained, and demonstrate a commitment to the healthcare industry and transforming the future of healthcare. Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) Program This program was developed by healthcare CIOs to recognize IT leaders for their deep knowledge and skill base as well as their years of experience. Earning the CHCIO designation sets healthcare CIO leaders apart from their peers and showcases their knowledge and commitment to this industry. Certified Healthcare CIO International Program This program was created out of a desire to bring this elite status overseas to our International CHIME members. International members can now earn the CHCIO credential without having to test on U.S. biased regulations and standards. CHIME Foundation Certified Healthcare Executive (CFCHE) Program CFCHE is the first certification to be launched exclusively for our CHIME Foundation Partners. Established in 2017, this credential highlights the vast knowledge base and IT industry understanding one has to have in order to become CFCHE certified. Information technology is central to providing excellent patient care, tracking and measuring the effectiveness of healthcare and adapting to advances in medical practice. IT provides the framework needed to create exceptional patient experiences, optimize clinical workflow and maintain affordability. HIT executives need to be versatile leaders, equipped with strategic skills and innovative approaches to fulfill their roles as members of the C-suite. CHIME s executive leadership programs, both inperson and virtual, are designed for and conducted by CIOs and CMIOs from healthcare organizations around the country. Twice a year, CHIME holds a CIO Forum event, with prominent keynote speakers, best practice track sessions and topical focus group discussions. These unique HIT-focused information and networking opportunities are the must attend events each year for our members. CHIME s international programs are beginning to offer this training around the world to enable best practice sharing between organizations and countries. CHIME brings a fresh perspective to leadership education, fostering dynamic discussion and learning not only from the faculty but also from the participants. CHIME also creates special programs for current topics of interest and for various healthcare IT solution and consulting firms, including other healthcare leadership organizations, to ensure leaders have the education they need to bring about the digital revolution in healthcare. Public Policy CHIME Federal Affairs works with the membership to engage and inform federal agencies with jurisdiction over health IT policy and rulemaking, executing on opportunities for CHIME to support, educate and influence federal programs. Federal advocacy efforts are focused on Meaningful Use, cybersecurity and quality measurement, among many others. CHIME Congressional Affairs leverages the membership to develop and cultivate relationships with congressional offices to support, educate and influence federal health legislation that includes, or depends on, information technology. CHIME Congressional Affairs advocacy initiatives include amending the Meaningful Use program, patient identification, cybersecurity, regulation of health IT and interoperability. The Policy Steering Committee is a group of CIOs that meets to discuss timely policy issues and advises CHIME s response. The trusted guidance of the Policy Steering Committee and numerous federal response work groups ensures CHIME policies reflect the interests of the membership and preserves our role as a valued voice in important policy conversations.

The CHIME Foundation is a nonprofit organization that enables service providers and consultants to obtain professional development and build relationships with top healthcare IT executives from around the globe. Through CHIME Foundation membership, firms have exclusive networking, educational and market research opportunities with CHIME CIO members. Membership in the CHIME Foundation provides firms with expanded brand recognition, thought leadership venues and the opportunity to make valuable industry connections. The CHIME Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships and tuition assistance for CHIME educational conferences and professional development programs to CHIME CIO members and future healthcare IT leaders. Leadership Academy To help healthcare organizations reduce costs, save time, and free up valuable resources, the CHIME Cooperative Member Services Program, provided by CHIME Technologies, allows CHIME members to benefit from a variety of preferential industry services, packages and price offerings available exclusively from CHIME Foundation firms. The CHIME Speakers Bureau provides thought leaders for industry events and company meetings. The Speakers Bureau faculty are comprised of accomplished CIOs and healthcare IT leaders who are active in the industry and highly credentialed. The CHIME Opioid Task Force will leverage the core competencies of OPIOID TASK FORCE CHIME and its diverse membership to increase awareness and destigmatize the opioid crisis. With their expertise and access to critical data, CIOs and their industry partners are positioned to help identify best practices and build evidence to prevent, identify and treat opioid misuse and addiction.
