THIS WEEK ALL JUNIORS & SENIORS! Please check the house windows starting May 8 th for Award and Scholarship* recipients. If your name is listed you MUST attend the meeting on May 11 th per 2 in the auditorium. *Please note that the scholarship list is being updated daily. NEW INFORMATION MARKETING CAREER: Interested in learning more about a career in marketing? Or interested in learning about how to appropriately market yourself? Come to the College & Career Center Friday, May 26 th during periods 2 or 3 for a guest speaker on the topic. The presentation will focus on skills such as: etiquette, online presence, communication skills, writing skills, presentation skills, time management, networking, independence, teamwork skills, and leadership skills as necessary components to a successful transition to college & career. See Mrs. Tyszka or Ms. Eisenberg for a pass to attend. VOTER REGISTRATION: The Registrar of Voters will be here on Tuesday, May 16 th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon to register students to vote. Tables will be set up in the hallway between the senior lounge and the gym. Students are strongly encouraged to register to vote, which is an important aspect of our democracy.

GLOW CLUB: End of the Year GLOW club meeting on Thursday, May 11 th, after school. Meet outside Mrs. Foster's office in the Upper Media Center! Snacks will be provided! All are welcome, even if this is your first meeting!!! ATTENTION JUNIOR BOYS: Are you a civic leader and take pride in American Citizenship? Do you have a keen interest in our government? If you answered yes to these questions and would like the opportunity to be nominated for a free summer weekend through the American Legion Boys State High School Leadership program, see Mrs. Hilser in B House Counseling today! MOTHERS DAY PLANT SALE: Trumbull Agriscience and Biotechnology Center s Mothers Day Plant Sale is May 10 th 13 th from 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. and will feature plants grown by the Agriscience students. FARM FAIR: Trumbull Agriscience and Biotechnology Farm Fair is Saturday, May 13 th, 10:00 3:00 and includes tractor hay rides, sheep shearing, petting zoo, crafts fair, refreshments and more. Student Council VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The ACE BOARD is in need of volunteers for June 1 and June 8 from 5:30-7 pm for the ACE recognition ceremony. Interested students should see Mr. Pijar. THS MODEL CONGRESS SPRING COMPETITION: Join us on Wednesday, May 17th for our Spring Competition! It will be held at Trumbull High School from 3:00-7:00. Pizza will be served! Signed waivers should be returned no later than May 15th. They can be returned to the PTSA mailbox in the main office. CLUBS STRATEGY CLUB: There will not be a meeting on May 3 rd. The next meeting of the Strategy Club will be on Wednesday, May 10 th after school in C6. YOUTH TO YOUTH CLUB: The Youth to Youth Club will be sponsoring a movie afternoon on Friday, May 12 th for $1. Please bring additional money for pizza or snacks. The movie will be Dr. Strange and it will begin after school around 2:30. Permission slips can be found in the house offices and must be completed if you re going to stay after. Please make sure that you arrange for a ride home as there are no late buses on Friday!

YOUTH TO YOUTH CLUB: The Youth to Youth Group, Trumbull Recreation Department, Trumbull Police Department and TPAUD will be sponsoring the Dodge-A-Cop Dodgeball Tournament on Thursday, May 25 th at Hillcrest Middle School. Games will begin at 4:00pm. Sign-ups will take place in the commons during the lunch waves the week of May 15 th. The cost is $15 cash per individual, with teams made up of 6 participants with a Police Officer on each team. You should have your money (cash only) and your team paperwork together at sign ups. Only a limited number of teams will be allowed to participate, so sign up early! COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Booth Hill School Talent Show of 2017 needs volunteers. May 19 th 5-8pm and May 21st 3-5pm. Volunteers must be able to participate both days preferably. We need help with: 1. stage hands- guiding kids, prop set up, break down 2. Back stage - help coordinate kids for their next act, make up or costume fixes 3. Ticket sale or concession 4. Front door- help collect tickets 5. Raffles- help deliver to winners. We are looking for about 8 individuals.
