Meet Sports Volunteer Tarren Smarr What type of volunteering are you involved in? I have worked with several different groups throughout Newcastle and Gateshead and in various activities including netball tournaments and rowing events. Working with the Newcastle programme has even led me to additional opportunities in the surrounding community such as participating as a volunteer in the UK School Games. What s your favourite part of volunteering? Working with and meeting new people is my favourite part of volunteering. It is nice to work with people who are passionate about either their sport or volunteering in general. It is also nice to meet and interact with the people who are benefiting from volunteering. As an athlete I know how important volunteers can be in order for an event to be successful. Now it is my turn to give back. Get Involved today!
