About Hendrick Medical Center Hendrick Medical Center was founded in 1924 as a not-for-profit healthcare institution in response to a community need for quality healthcare. Today, Hendrick Health System includes Hendrick Medical Center, licensed for 500 beds, and a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including centers of excellence in women s, cancer, rehabilitation, children s and cardiovascular services. With more than 2,900 employees and physicians, Hendrick serves 19 counties in the Texas Midwest area. Hendrick Medical Center has received the Gallup Great Workplace Award and has earned the Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. We understand that providing quality healthcare requires growth to meet the needs of the community. In 2012, Hendrick Medical Center completed the largest expansion in its history. With this expansion, Hendrick built new facilities and extensively upgraded a number of existing patient and support areas including Hendrick Children s Hospital, 14 surgical suites, labor and delivery, wound care, dialysis and infusion services.
