Rehabilitation works for Enugu Abakaliki Road and Ogoja Ikom Road are about 35% physical completion, and 12 out of 14 periodic maintenance contracts are substantially completed. Bids for rehabilitation of Mokwa Bida Road and Akure Ilesha Road were received and are being evaluated. Most road safety works and goods contracts (for three safety corridors) have been procured including pedestrian bridges in Federal Capital Territory (Phases 1 and 2) and goods including communication equipment and road Page 1 of 7
safety equipment are awarded. Technical assistance activities to assist implementation, to strengthen road sector policy and management, and to assist the Federal Road Safety Corps are starting to be implemented. The disbursements profile is expected to continue to improve as the contracts progress.
