Must have exceptional talent and/or ability in chosen field of study or activity, has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills or performance. Total award determined by department through tryouts and/or interviews. Must Maintain a 2.5 minimum cumulative college GPA. 3.7 GPA Academic Scholars Program Full Tuition includes stipend per year provided required GPA is met * (OSRHE); Automatically renews for four (4) consecutive semesters at Connors State, provided required GPA is maintained. * Must be a full time student (12 hours or more). * ACT composite of 29 or greater to be eligible for this scholarship. * Final approval and guidelines set by Oklahoma State Regents. * Must maintain a 3.00 college cumulative GPA. * Upon graduation from Connors State College, this scholarship transfers to a four year Oklahoma college or university (This scholarship provides a total award of eight semesters). REGENT S SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION AND CRITERIA The Connors State College Regent s ACT based scholarships are awarded to students based on their ACT composite score. The composite score determines the scholarship category awarded. Each category has its own award amount and required cumulative GPA per semester. Each student will be required to meet the minimum cumulative GPA each semester. If your GPA falls below the requirement, the scholarship will be canceled. The Regent s ACT based scholarships are good for Tuition Only, up to the amount of the scholarship per year (excluding fees and books.)this scholarship will NOT be awarded during the summer or mini-mesters. THE TOTAL AWARD PER FALL AND SPRING SEMESTERS CANNOT EXCEED THE GENERAL TUITION COST AND EXCLUDES FEES AND BOOKS. THIS AWARD IS LIMITED TO ONLY FOUR (4) CONSECUTIVE REGULAR SEMESTERS. EACH STUDENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR HIS/HER OWN TEXTBOOKS, FEES, AND DUES. SCHOLARSHIP WILL EXPIRE IF GPA FALLS BELOW THE REQUIRED GPA. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Completed application for admissions on file in the Registrar s office. An official seven (7) semester high school transcript with official ACT scores from high school must accompany application. OR Attach a copy of official ACT scores to this form. Attach any college transcripts, if applicable. Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov If you are selected for a scholarship, your acceptance letter must be received in the Financial Aid office by the last working day of April or the scholarship will be considered t Accepted and will null and void. REGENT S ACT SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION PROCESS All applicants who provide a complete application, with all required forms attached will be considered by the Scholarship Selection Committee. Those missing information will not be considered. The students selected will be notified by letter with an accompanying award acceptance letter which MUST be returned to the Financial Aid office, If the form is not received, the scholarship is considered unaccepted and the scholarship offer expired. REGENT S SCHOLARSHIP RENEWABILITY REQUIREMENTS The Regent s ACT Scholarship award will be renewed each semester (Up to four (4) consecutive semesters) if the recipient complies with the following: Must maintain the required GPA for the awarded scholarship (See chart on page 2). At any time, if the GPA falls below the required amount the scholarship will expire. Must successfully complete 12 credit hours per Fall and Spring semester. (Minimum total for the year is 24 hours.) Remedial courses (zero level) must be passed with an S within the first 24 attempting hours. Regent s scholarships are only valid during the Fall and Spring semesters (maximum four (4) consecutive semesters. Connors Development Foundation Scholarship Information The Connors Development Foundation, Inc. administers a number of private scholarship that are funded and awarded by individuals, foundations, agencies and organization. The donor sets the scholarship requirements and the Connors Development Foundation Scholarship Committee (composed of faculty and/or staff and Foundation Board members) select the recipients with the exception of a few selected by specific departments/boards. The amount and availability of each scholarship may vary from year to year; therefore, the recipient of each scholarship will be notified by award letter of the amount and stipulations. All scholarships are for the academic year and must be notified by award letter of the amount and stipulations. All scholarships are for the academic year and must be applied for yearly. Please refer to criteria for each scholarship listed or contact the Foundation office for further information. DISBURSEMENT Scholarship recipients must provide the Foundation a Thank You letter to be forwarded to the donor. Disbursement of the award will not be allowed unless a Thank You letter is received by the Foundation. Scholarship monies will be disbursed through the business office after outstanding fees, if any, are paid. IMPACT ON FINANCIAL AID Scholarships are considered resource funds under state and federal guidelines; therefore, scholarship awards become part of a student s financial aid package. Scholarships are first used to cover the student s unmet need. Gift aid (grants) will be reduced only if the total of all awards exceeds the amount of financial aid for which the student is eligible. In no case will the Pell Grant be reduced as a result of a scholarship. Additional documentation pertaining to applicant s income may be requested. If additional income verification is request, it must be provided before the applicant will be considered for an award.
