4-H Council Leadership Team Junior Council Monday, December 6th **Please note change** Senior Council Wednesday, December 1st We will be decorating for the Any Baby Can Christmas Party: Wednesday, Dec. 8th, afterschool till 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9th, afterschool till 7 p.m. @ Ag Barn Any Baby Can Christmas Party Dec. 10th 5-9 p.m. All Jr. & Sr. Council Members are expected to help in some capacity with this event. This is our major community service project of the year and makes a difference for these families who have misfortune in their lives. 6th - Horse Club Christmas Party Extension Office @ 6:30 p.m. 8th - West Kerr Club Meeting Ingram HS Café @ 6:00 p.m. 13th - Kerrville Club Meeting Extension Office @ 6:30 p.m. 14th - East Kerr Club Meeting Extension Office @ 6:30 p.m. Hunt Club Meeting Hunt School Cafeteria @ 5:30 p.m. 15th - Center Point Club Meeting Center Point HS Cafeteria @ 7:00 p.m. Center Point 4-H Club This month we will be Christmas Caroling at the VA Hospital on December 15 at 6:30 p.m. Kerrville 4-H Club Will meet on Monday, December 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Extension Office. This month s theme is Pajama Party!!! We will have hot chocolate & decorate Christmas Cards for one of the local nursing homes. Horse Club We will also be having our Christmas Party on Monday, December 6th starting at 6:30 p.m. Kerr County 4-H has a facebook page. Find us by searching Kerr Fourh & stay up to date on all the latest 4-H news, activities, & deadlines. West Kerr 4-H Club Will meet on Wednesday, December 8th at 6 p.m. at the Ingram Tom Moore High School Cafeteria. Bring nonperishable foods/canned goods. We will be helping at least 3 needy West Kerr families for the holidays. Program - A 4H Christmas Hunt 4-H Club Will meet at the Hunt School on Tuesday, December 14th at 5:30 p.m. (This is a very important meeting that will need club member input. Please make plans to attend) We will also be making Christmas Cards and filling care packages for soldiers that are deployed. Our club has received a plaque from the soldiers in Iraq who received the care packages last year 7 KSAT 12 will be there to cover the presentation of the plaque. East Kerr 4-H Club This month we will be Christmas Caroling at the Comfort Nursing Home on December 14th in place of our regular meeting. We will meet at the Immanuel Lutheran Church @ 6 p.m. (318 High St.) in Comfort. Party will follow at the church. Please bring cookies to share with the other members!!!
Archery This project will meet in the Indoor Arena this month @ 6 p.m. on the following dates: December 6th, 13th & 20th. The Archery Fundraising Raffle will be drawn on Monday, December 20th!!! GOOD LUCK!! Please contact Billy Snow with any questions: 830-257-2177 Food & Nutrition The District Food Show will be held in Fredericksburg on Monday, January 10th. Registration for this event will be held on 4-H Connect from Dec. 1-13th. Late registration will be available on Dec. 14&15th with a late fee. Horse Judging The Horse Judging team will meet on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the upstairs office of the Wool Room. They will practice the following dates this month: December 1st, 8th & 15th. REMINDER: The District contest will be held in conjunction with the SALE competition. Registration will need to be done on 4-H Connect. Photography This project will meet at the Extension Office on Thursday, December 2nd & 16th, January 12th & 26th from 6-7:30 p.m. If you cannot attend the Dec. 2nd meeting, come to the next meeting 30 minutes early to get caught up. Please bring you cameras to the meetings. KEEP PRACTICING!!! Veterinary Science This project will start in either late January or early February. 2010 San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. Rural Youth Award The Texas 4-H & Youth Development Program in conjunction with the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation are pleased to announce the continued support from the San Antonio Livestock Exposition for the 2011 Rural Youth Awards. There will be 20 $1,000 awards awarded for the 2011 year. Eligibility Requirements: Applications are available now. Please contact the Kerr County Extension Office for one. The applications will be due in the County Office by February 7, 2011. Must be at least & a high school Jr. or Sr. Must have been active in 4-H for the past 3 yrs. Must be willing to participate in the 2011 SALE Youth Day. Must plan to attend a Texas college with a SALE eligible major Must be a TX resident & US citizen Congratulations!!!
