Lurrene Parker Pine-Richland Band Booster President Spring Band Trip Trip Chaperones Volunteers, Hershey, Scholarship

Spring Band Trip Williamsburg/Norfolk NATO Parade Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29 Final Payment due on March 1, 2018. Approximately 200 students going on the trip. See band website for additional details and tentative itinerary. PRBB contribution to be determined prior to final payment based on earnings from fundraising.

Trip Chaperones As per Pine-Richland School District policy, any adult wishing to chaperone an overnight trip must be an approved Independent Volunteer. Due to the length of time it takes to become an Independent Volunteer, must already be approved. Not able to hold chaperone spot. Must be available for the duration of the trip (April 27-29). Must be able to pay for your trip (estimated cost approximately $600) by February 2018. Each chaperone assigned a group of up-to 12 students that they are responsible for during the duration of the trip. Required to work shifts at chaperone station(s). This is not a vacation, but you will have free time to enjoy the park. Chaperones may be asked to assist with additional tasks as needed.

Volunteers, Hershey, Scholarship Volunteers Always utilize SignUp.com to recruit and manage volunteers. Openings communicated via email and on the band website. Hershey Game Collecting hand and foot warmers to distribute in cold weather. Band responsible for lunchtime ticket sales. Matt Graff Memorial Scholarship Senior band students were offered a wonderful scholarship opportunity through the Matt Graf Memorial Scholarship. Winner was announced at the All-District Band Concert. Congratulations to Molly McCarthy!

Dan Kerr Pine-Richland Band Booster Treasurer Treasurer s Report

Treasurer s Report Bank Account Balance $ 96,364 of 11/30/17. Band cash $90,366 & Dance Team cash $5,998. Almost all of the Fall Trip Payments have been paid to EMA by either check or credit card. Mattress Sale profits were $1,175. Fall Raffle $9,418, Stromboli $2,385, Pie, Pierogi, and Spring Raffle profits will go toward lowering the overall trip cost. Final payment amount per student will be calculated prior to the Final Payment due date in March.

All-District Concert Bake Sale and Spiritwear Sale Recap Congratulations to all of the students and teachers! Bake Sale Sales/donations less costs were $725 Proceeds benefited Kyle Pomerleau Scholarship Thanks for donating baked goods Spiritwear Sales and Orders Chick-fil-A Sandwiches Nachos Remaining Concessions

Band Spiritwear Sales Sale #3 deadline was November 30. Orders will be delivered prior to the winter break. Sale #4 will occur prior to the band trip. Hoping to offer some new spring wardrobe items, i.e. shorts. Spiritwear Store is always available online in Charms.

Pie Sale Sale moved this year in an effort to spread out fundraisers. Orders were due today, Monday, December 4. Pickup pies on Tuesday, December 19, from 2:30-5:30. Thanks to chairs Ami Moore and Sheila Baldauff.

2018 Spring Fundraisers Pierogi Sale January Sale Dates with Delivery January 31. Table 86 Hines Ward Fundraiser Thursday, January 11, 2018 Emporio Meatball Emporium Balls for All Fundraiser Thursday, February 8, 2018 2018 Spring Sports and Music Raffle Scheduled for January and/or February. Has to be wrapped up before Spring Trip to calculate benefit. Previous raffle included U2 concert tickets, Pens tickets, and cash. Please consider donating concert tickets, opening day or other Pirates tickets, Penguins tickets, etc.

Rewards Program Keep collecting your Cranberry and Wexford Chick-fil-A receipts and sending them into the Band Box! Receipts from the new Chick-fil-A in Pine Township are now also valid, since it is under the same ownership. Have accrued earnings over $794.14 in free food to date. Due to construction, unable to use credit for Senior Night or Winter Concert. Will be used at a later date.

Thanks Again Thanks to our dedicated chairs and our valuable volunteers for all of the help during this extended marching season! Thanks for supporting this amazing group of students and staff and all of the time that you give to the band! Thanks to the Holm family for donating box seats for the Heinz game. Our winning volunteers enjoyed the warm and dry conditions.

PRBB Open Positions There will be vacancies for the 2018-2019 school year. Consider volunteering now for a position.
