Good Things Foundation is a social change charity. We believe in a world where everyone can benefit from digital. Through our Online Centres Network of hyperlocal partners, we are supporting people and communities to overcome some of the most pressing social challenges they are facing - through digital. Since 2010 we ve helped over 2.4 million people to improve their lives using digital, driving positive outcomes from employment through to health and wellbeing. We make great things happen with digital technology, helping to tackle social challenges through digital solutions and community support. In the UK, we work with 5,000 community partners - the Online Centres Network - and with other national, regional and local partners to help the people and communities with the greatest need. We have offices in Sheffield and in Sydney, Australia. Whether we re delivering projects to build digital inclusion, designing new health interventions or researching the best ways to combat financial inequality, we believe that digital can help solve social challenges. We make a real impact by working with partners, engaging people through local support and ultimately transforming people s lives through digital. p2

Our board Liz Williams (Chair of the Board), Director of Digital Society, BT Group Good Things Foundation is an incredibly purposeful organisation, determined to ensure everyone is able to realise the benefits of being society powered by digital. As a staff owned mutual, it s also quite a unique operating environment, powered by people to whom this agenda really matters. The same goes for each and every one of our brilliant Board of Trustees. If you are looking to bring your business skills to make a real difference to people up and down the UK, we d love to hear from you. Don t worry if you re not an expert in digital or in social inclusion, or if you ve not served on a board before, we d still love to hear from you. Laurence Piercy, Staff Trustee One of the best things about Good Things Foundation is the way in which it connects local communities with policy and politics. We believe in insight through experience. This is why we run projects in the way we do, but it s also why we are a mutual. Being a Staff Trustee helps me to speak from my own experience and connect what I do to the big decisions we make as a charity. Roy Claire, CBE, Culture Sector Professional As a Trustee, I relish interacting with my Board colleagues, the CEO and her staff on a wide range of statutory duties, including participating in shaping the charity s strategies and policies. Positive outcomes for the millions of people who benefit from the work of online centres are reward enough for those like me who volunteer to serve. Together, we are committed to our mission - equality of opportunity through digital technology - and to inclusiveness and greater diversity, not least at governance level. p6
