Community Awareness The ISF Story - Sharing special moments and success stories of students, teachers and of the Irving Schools Foundation at public events, meetings and in the media. Inviting Community Leaders to learn about the ISF - Annual Education Luncheon, Breakfast with the Stars and the Perpetual Giving Tree Ceremony and dedications are all avenues that the ISF utilizes to raise public awareness. Media Exposure - All events were featured in the Dallas Morning News, Irving Journal, Irving Neighbors and the Irving Rambler throughout the year. The Success of the Irving Schools Foundation Eleven Fellows inducted this year with their names inscribed on the Perpetual Giving Tree sculpture. Title sponsor 2008 Breakfast with the Stars event fourth year Nissan North America. Two endowed scholarships in memory of David Brune and Michael Sigurdson.

Tyler Story 2008 Irving High School Graduate Freshman at University of Texas at Tyler Nissan Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Scholarship recipient Plans to major in Accounting and hopes to open his own accounting practice. Graduated in the top 5% of his class, was a three-year varsity baseball player and donated more than 200 hours of community service to Irving Cares.
