P A G E 5 Leadership lab Leadership lab is a three day/ two night camp for senior 4H (13-17)members. Held at the Texas 4H Conference Center at Lake Brownwood, TX. The theme this year is Building a better tomorrow in D-11 4H Cost of leadership lab for 4H, Agents and adult leaders is 165.00 NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN However there can be a substitution. Registration for 4H Members, Agents and adult leaders is on 4H Connect Between Monday May 2nd through June 3rd. Late Registration is between June 4th and June 10th with an additional $25. He will be speaking on How to Produce Broilers and Roasters for the Show, Housing, Preparation, Rearing, Lighting, Feeding, Flock Health, Culling, Selecting Show Pen, Handling & Transportation, etc. Swine Clinic Date: May 5, 2016 Time: 7PM Location: Jackson County Service Building Auditorium Information: Mr. Russell Lassman, with L & H Showpigs in Victoria will be the program speaker for the clinic. He will be speaking on swine husbandry, facilities, selection, feeding, health, worming and showmanship. What the judge is looking for in the ring will also be talked about. P A G E 7 Rabbit Clinic Date: May 10, 2016 Time: 7PM Location: Jackson County Service Building Kitchen Information: David Roman, with Roman Rabbitry, will go over showmanship, selection and general rabbit raising. We will hopefully have live animals to look at and work with. Each exhibitor has to have a pen of three rabbits and the weight of each rabbit is very important. They have to weigh no more than five pounds and a minimum of three pounds, 8 ounces. Ear canker, bad teeth, any disease that would affect the quality of the meat is a concern. Lamb &Goat Clinic Date: May 12, 2016 Time: 7PM Location: Jackson County Service Building Kitchen Information: Mark Morris, owner of Morris Livestock, Normanna, TX, will be presenting a program on selection, feeding, health, proper care, management, trimming, showing and showmanship.
