Senior Events Tuesday, 4/25 - Your Life, Your Choice Wednesday, 4/26 - ipad collection, lockers, vote Thursday, 4/27 - college signing day Friday, 4/28 - last day for seniors on mentorship Saturday, 4/29 - Prom / After Prom Monday, 5/1-5/12 - Senior Mentorship Friday, 5/5 - Scholarship Breakfast (invite only) @ CVAC Friday, 5/12 - last day all other seniors Monday, 5/15 - Exit Interviews, Exhibit & Senior Awards Thursday, 5/18 - Graduation Rehearsal/Commencement
Your Life, Your Choice Tuesday, April 25 seniors will be dismissed to Cafe at 9:00 a.m. prom court please report to Mr. C for photo bus to Parkside (grouped by alpha) check outside guidance dress appropriately (no T-shirts) return to school for D-lunch 4th block presentation on college campus awareness (to opt out of this event, you may hand in a parent letter to the main office by Tuesday morning)

lockers,fees,fines Wednesday, April 26 ipad collection during Homeroom garbage cans will be available starting Wednesday all lockers should be cleaned out homeroom teachers will check all student lockers return all textbooks/other materials by Friday settle your student fees (Mrs. Martorana - Guidance) pay your outstanding library fines (Mrs. Subel) vote for Prom King and Queen
College Signing Day Thursday, April 27 during all lunch blocks in cafeteria wear your intended college apparel your picture will be taken with a signed certificate please remember to decommit to other colleges (Please notify the schools you were accepted to but are not attending. This will allow them to open up space for other students attending)
last day for seniors (mentorship) Friday, April 28 lockers cleaned out all school fees and fines paid turn in final transcript form (pink) turn in teacher recognition certificates to Guidance all students complete forms mentorship seniors will be dismissed to cafeteria at 2:00 PM for final reminders
Prom Saturday, April 29 Embassy Suites, Independence (6-10:30 p.m.) arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. (all students will be breathalyzed) After Prom (11-3:30 a.m.) @ KHS arrive no later than 12 midnight at main entrance (flagpole) tickets for After Prom will be on sale during all lunch blocks you don t have to attend Prom to attend After Prom
Mentorship timeline Monday, May 1 - Friday, May 12 This week: meet with faculty advisor to receive Final Packet (letter to community sponsor, exit interview checklist, rubric, & thank you card with envelope) 5/1: first day of mentorship 5/5: email 1st journal to your faculty advisor 5/12: last day of mentorship, email 2nd journal 5/15: exit interviews @ KHS (check schedule in guidance) 5/15: mentorship exhibit - 6 p.m. - Main Gym 5/15: senior awards - 7 p.m. - Lee Auditorium
Exit Interviews Monday, May 15 - AB Room dress business casual (no jeans, T-shirts or sweatshirts) arrive 10 minutes before your interview time (check in @ student entrance) prepare to present your project to a staff member (10 minutes) must have (4) items in hand for the interview (time sheet, printed journals, reflection paper, thank you card w/envelope) show visual evidence of experience in the interview use presentation board or technology (set up in gym after interview) be professional, maintain good eye contact and reflect on your experience interviews will be graded on a rubric (you will receive a copy of rubric) if you fail to meet expectations on any of the requirements, there will be a meeting with administration to determine graduation eligibility
Rehearsal Thursday, May 18 arrive no later than 8:00 AM at Parkside (mandatory) Door C wear school appropriate clothing (dress code will be enforced) rehearsal time depends on how well you meet expectations senior brunch will follow rehearsal caps and gowns will be distributed after brunch
Commencement Thursday, May 18 arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. at Parkside tickets, directions and parking information will be mailed home 6 tickets per student (if you need more tickets ask around) required dress attire under your graduation gowns leave all personal items with family members diplomas will be distributed at the end of the ceremony ceremony will be streamed live on the KHS website
Expectations All Senior Events pay attention to deadlines be prompt for all events dress and act professionally ask questions if you don t know something check the school website for updates represent your school, community and family with class make good choices good luck and have fun!
