STOPiT App Come to the Home School & Association Meeting on Tuesday, September 12 th at 7pm and be the first to hear about this new app that has helped schools with issues of student safety. What began as a simple anonymous app to report cyberbullying is now transforming the way people report and prevent all varieties of inappropriate conduct. In thousands of schools and workplaces around the globe, STOPit has become a catalyst for cultural transformation, positively impacting human behavior to create safer and more compassionate communities both online and off. By inspiring people to be their best selves, together, we are making the world a better place. 3 rd -4 th grade Intramural Flag Football registration forms due tomorrow, Sept 8 th. Accreditation Work Continues St. John Primary and St. Theresa Middle teachers will be divided into working groups next Tuesday to work with Mr. Graham from Atlas Curriculum Mapping to aid our faculty in writing unit plans and entering them into the Atlas Curriculum Mapping system. All teachers typed in their outlines for the year at the end of last school year and are not working toward the goal of entering lesson plans weekly and unit plans. We are utilizing the Diocesan curriculum that has been created in math and science. Religion should be up in December. The curriculum standards will be tied to the lessons and the units. This process will take place over several years. Thanks to our dedicated educators for their hard work on behalf of your child s or children s education. Prayer for Protection Against Storms and Hurricanes Our Father in Heaven through the intercession of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, spare us during this Hurricane season from all harm. Protect us and our homes from all disasters of nature. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. ACT Aspire Testing will take place during the week of 9/11-9/22. Teachers will let students know the schedule for testing. Beta application forms & dues are due tomorrow, Sept 8 th. Girls Basketball Opening Games are tomorrow night at St. Jean Vianney. 6 th Grade @ 5:45 p.m. 8 th Grade @ 7:45 p.m. 6 th Grade @ 7:15 p.m. 8 th Grade @ 8:15 p.m. Boys Football Jamboree Games are this Sunday, September 10 th. All parents and all 5 th -8 th grade students are invited to attend this very informative presentation. The homeroom that has the most students in attendance will receive a silly sock and shoe day. First STA Pep Rally Our first STA Pep Rally will be held on the first day of the Fair, Friday, September 29 th after the Dress Rehearsal for Fair Acts. Our cheerleaders are ready to perform for the student body and introduce the football and the girls basketball teams. Planning Ahead Please note at St. Theresa Middle this year we will hold each nine weeks Honor Roll on a Friday afternoon at a Pep Rally beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the gym. The first such Pep Rally will be held on Friday, October 20 th. We hope you can arrange your work schedules to be with us to celebrate our scholars, athletes and students all at one time!
