Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network (BTYR) February 2017 The Apple Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network (BTYR) continues to serve both past and presently serving Military, and their families. Some of our recent activities: The need is still there, so we continue to serve Veterans and / or their families. Last month we helped with rent, car payments, gas cards, diapers, and burial expenses. Some of our services are shared with other local BTYR networks. If you are in need of assistance, know of a military family needing help, or if you can help provide assistance, such as snow removal, ride to VA or an appointment, home repairs, or car repairs, etc., please contact us 952-923-5014. The monthly Military Appreciation Dinners are growing in attendance 98 in January. The Legion has provided excellent meals, which BTYR serves to Veterans at no charge. American Legion Post 1776 14521 Granada Drive Apple Valley MN 55124 What is the Preamble and What Does it Mean? (Part 9/11) TO PROMOTE PEACE AND GOOD WILL ON EARTH... Until all Nations in the world become good neighbors, Legionnaires must continue the effort to promote peace and good will on earth. It is in pursuance of this founding ideal that The American Legion seeks to strengthen the United Nations organization. Indirectly, The American Legion also contributes to this ideal by firmly supporting a strong national defense to discourage breaking of the peace by aggressors. Be Proud! We are the American Legion!
