Upon this date all other copies of Lounge Rules for Arlington American Legion Post Number 283, Incorporated and all motions pertaining to the administrative functions become null and void with no authority. Arlington American Legion Post 283 Lounge Rules and Regulations Use of the Arlington American Legion Post 283 Lounge is a privilege not a right. The Lounge is governed by the Board of Directors which is comprised of duly elected Post officers and two elected Member at large. 1. The following lounge rules and regulations are applicable to any person or persons who are on premises, in the lounge, or in the dining hall during not meeting events. 2. The following people shall be admitted to the lounge and post area: A. All current members of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and their escorted guests. B. All Active Duty Personnel and card carrying members of Veterans Organizations other than those listed above. C. All members are responsible for the actions of their guests and shall ensure their guests register by signing the guest book. D. Bar Sales will be to members only. Any member bringing a guest into the lounge must make all purchases for their nonmember guests from a bartender on duty. Guests must depart when the host member leaves. The guest may be signed in by another member. 3. The bartender on duty shall have full authority to enforce the house rules while on duty and may eject anyone for misconduct or violation of these rules. Members shall have the right to appeal to the Board of Directors. 4. The safety of all members and guests are the responsibility of the Bartender on Duty. It is the duty of all post officers to assist the bartender on duty in the enforcement of all post and lounge rules. 2

5. The Post Commander, Finance Officer, Bar Manager, and Bartenders on Duty are the only authorized personnel permitted behind the bar without the expressed permission of the Bartender(s) on Duty. 6. No member or their guests shall reprimand an officer or an employee of the American Legion. Any suggestions or criticism of the lounge operation shall be submitted to the Board of Directors for consideration. 7. Any member responsible for the unauthorized removal or intentional damage or destruction of any personal property as well as property of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, or The Legion Riders, shall be responsible to the Board of Directors for disciplinary action. 8. No one may bring alcoholic beverages into the lounge, or consume such beverages on Post property at any time*. 9. No one may take alcoholic beverages from the premises at any time*. 10. Only members are permitted to cash personal checks. All checks shall have a limit of $50.00 per day. Exceptions to this limit may be granted by the Lounge Manager or the Finance Officer. All returned checks for NSF will be assessed a $30.00 processing fee. This fee and the amount of the check must be paid in full no later than one week from the date the member was notified of the returned check. After one week the member will have all lounge privileges suspended and the member will be suspended from entering the lounge until full restitution is made. 11. The Post Lounge shall be operated in accordance with state and local laws as covered by the American Legion Post 283 By-Laws and all licensing regulations. Some of which include: A. No one under the age of 21 shall be served an alcoholic beverage under any circumstances. No member or guest may give an alcoholic beverage to anyone under the age of 21. * B. No pets or animals are permitted in the lounge or post home at any time. (With the exception of guide dogs for legally impaired members or guests) * C. While in the Post Home, children shall be under the direct supervision of their parents or guardians at all times. Children are never permitted to sit at the bar*. Parents or guardians are responsible at all times for any disturbance, damage or inappropriate behavior of their children. 3

D. Members under the age of 21 are permitted in our Post Home and Lounge Area, but may not sit at the bar at any time, and may not be served alcoholic beverages *. These members must follow all post rules and regulations. E. Children less than 18 years of age must leave the lounge by 9:00 pm *. 12. In accordance with State Statue: There shall not be any material posted on the exit doors with the exception of those pertaining to Safety, Rules, Laws, and Emergency Instructions *. 13. All doors to the post may be opened at the discretion of the Bartender on Duty. 14. Loud Boisterous, Profane Language, Threatening Remarks or Racists Remarks will not be tolerated on post property or at any American Legion sanctioned event. First offense: Warning. Second offense: Ejection from the lounge and /or the Event 15. Fighting on Post Property or at an American Legion sanctioned event will not be tolerated. * (Fighting is defined as a mutual combat/mutual physical altercation between 2 or more individuals) 16. Battery on Post Property or at an American Legion sanctioned event will not be tolerated. * (Battery is defined as any actual pushing or striking of another individual against the will of that individual) 17. Dress Code: A. All Active Duty Personnel in Uniform must wear the uniform in accordance with the appropriate military regulations governing its wear. B. Shirt and Shoes must be worn at all times while in the Post Home. * Clothing with offensive graphic/ wording such as but is not limited to sexually explicated, profane, antiseminice, etc. is not allowed. C. Undergarments should not be plainly visible. 18. Last Call will be held 15 minutes prior to closing. Closing will not occur before 11:15 p.m. and will never occur while 5 or more lounge patrons are present until 2:00 am. 19. There will be no illegal substances brought on legion property or any other items that may cause the post to lose their licensing. Anyone caught violating this rule will be immediately asked to leave post property until the Board of Directors can meet and disciplinary action has been ruled upon. 4

20. Members violating any of these rules may be subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. Any members subject to disciplinary action will be notified in writing of the nature of the offense and investigated in accordance with the latest revision of Arlington American Legion Post 283 By-Laws. Disciplinary action resulting from any infraction of any rule listed above will be addressed by the Board of Directors. Disciplinary actions made by a previous Board of Directors can not be changed/reversed/superseded by their predecessors 21. No employee may play or have any one play for them, the "Pull-Tab" machine at any time. 22. The Rules listed above should be reviewed quarterly basis. Amendment, changes and/or modification to these rules must be discussed and agreed upon at a regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting. 23. Any member who allows their membership to expire may not be the escorted guest of a member of the post, or any post, nor may they purchase or have anyone purchase anything from the post. Extenuating circumstances for financial hardship, illness, or deployment will be evaluated by the Board of Directors on an individual basis. * Denotes Rules Derived from Florida Statute. 5
