Wrkfrce Develpment cntinues t be a strategic pririty fr Big Sky Ecnmic Develpment and its many partners fr ur cmmunity and regin. The 2017 State f the Wrkfrce Reprt cnfirmed again the strategic gals set fr BillingsWrks, including BillingsWrks as a cmmunity and emplyer resurce, training and educatin alignment with the jbs available in ur market, being the business hub fr wrk and learn pprtunities, and helping businesses find qualified wrkers thrugh talent attractin. BillingsWrks s Strategic Pririties 2017-2018 In its furth year f existence; the Wrkfrce Cuncil and Steering Cmmittee has learned a lt and grwn in a multitude f areas. While verall cnfidence in the wrkfrce is a statistic we mnitr, it is subjective. BillingsWrks, therefre, will be lking t influence data such as the number f jb pstings filled within 3 mnths, reprted increases in the number f qualified jb applicants and the number f internships cmpleted; knwing increases in these areas will have an verall effect n the cnfidence in ur wrkfrce. As a result, 2017-2018 will be a year cmmitted t cntinuing certain prgrams while investing specifically in three areas: Talent Attractin, Experiential Learning and Career and Technical Educatin. A. Talent Attractin: Measurements: Jb Pstings Filled Within 3 mnths (up 3% at every level) Reprted Increases in the Number f Qualified Jb Applicants (up 3% at every level)

Cllabrate with BEAR t include 1 t 2 new members fcusing n wrkfrce develpment. Pssibly have Directr f BillingsWrks c-chair BEAR. In rder t prvide supprt and guidance t ur lcal businesses, 1-2 new members with expertise in wrkfrce develpment will jin in the Business Expansin and Retentin prgram at BSED. Update the HR Tlkit as a resurce fr businesses t address their immediate wrkfrce needs. Include additinal infrmatin n recruiting, hiring, HR, training and retentin tpics and publish as data sheets and n the website Prmte the HR Tlkit t the BillingsWrks Cuncil, partners and emplyers thrugh email, website and newsletters.
