RevAZ Challenge RevAZ, the ACA program created for the express purpose of providing technical assistance to Arizona s small and medium manufacturers, in partnership with NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), is proud to announce the RevAZ Challenge. This is a one-time matching competitive grant opportunity for Arizona Manufacturers to showcase strategic and innovative projects that will enable them to gain a sustainable competitive advantage and grow their business. RevAZ is looking for well-defined projects that show a small or medium size manufacturer s commitment to growing their business through innovation. These projects could include fasttracking new products, implementing new technology, new business models, innovative processes or advanced capabilities to grow their business. Winning proposals will be submitted by manufacturers with demonstrated potential, or a track record of business success, and the ability to leverage the impact of a modest capital investment into growth and transformation. The possibilities are endless! Company Eligibility: Eligible companies must be an Arizona manufacturer who has been in business for more than two (2) years, and employs fewer than 500 employees. Project Requirements: Ideal project budget range $20,000 - $200,000 (larger projects will be considered, but the project must be completed by June 30, 2015). Company must provide 50% cash match. Grant awards will range between $10,000 and $50,000. Please specify requested grant amount in the table below as well as in your budget. Full balance of project costs must be spent by June 30, 2015. Interested companies may apply by submitting the RevAZ Application Form by 4 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015. All applications will be reviewed and companies will be notified of the acceptance decision. Part 1: Executive Summary Please describe your proposed business transformation project. When possible please describe the current state situation and the future state. Part 2: Business Opportunity How large is your market, is it growing, and if so, how fast? What market segments are you focused on, and why? Who is your competition? Why will your proposed project help you displace or capture market share from your competitors, and how much?
Part 3: Innovation How will this project help transform your ability to introduce new products, manufacturing capabilities, operational processes, or business models, and how will this transformation be sustained over time? Part 4: Risk What are the market, business and technical risks associated with this project, and how is your team and your company prepared to mitigate and overcome these risks?
