Current Situation: The final Incident Action Plan (IAP) for 4337-DR-FL was published on 02/20/2018, with an operational period ending at 0700 EST on 03/01/2018. This is consistent with the JFO transition from the Stabilization Phase to the Steady State Phase, as identified in the Joint Incident Strategic Plan. There are 2,644,007 registrations with more than $989M approved for the Individual and Household Program (IHP), including $684M approved for Housing Assistance (HA), and $305M approved for Other Needs Assistance (ONA). A total of 1,243 households are currently checked into the Transitional Shelter Assistance (TSA) program out of 1,797 currently eligible. Housing has been provided to all 318 applicants/households through the Direct Housing Program, with 27 moveouts. FEMA has received 1,178 Requests for Public Assistance (RPAs), of which 1,024 are eligible. Thirty-six projects have been obligated for a Federal Share of $16.9M. There are 28,179 National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) total claims with 26,964 closed. Total federal staffing allocated to FEMA-4337-DR-FL is 1,361 and includes FEMA and other federal agencies. Interagency Recovery Coordination (IRC) On 02/14/2018 in Hendry County, 02/15/2018 in Polk County, and 02/16/2018 in Citrus County, the Economic Recovery Support Functions (RSF) conducted IRC Economic Recovery workshops to connect business and community leaders with information on available state and federal resources. Workshop participants received practical tools and examples to support critical economic recovery, and long-term resiliency plans. Workshop also included presentations from RSFs, federal partners, state partners, and community stakeholders. In addition, Hendry County mitigation advisor evaluated proposed projects with Hendry Place Based Recovery Support Team (PBRST) to identify mitigation requirements. On 02/14/2018, Lee County Place Based Recovery Support Team (PBRST) met with Branch IV s Mitigation Grants and Planning (HMGP) staff to discuss their projects and to verify program eligibilities. On 02/14/2018, Monroe County Federal Disaster Recovery Coordinator (FDRC), state partners, Housing Recovery Support Function (RSF) and PBRST met to evaluate and update project list and progress on work plans, and identify requirements for additional federal assistance. On 02/15/2018, Lee County PBRST, Florida State Department of Emergency Management (DEM), Lee County Department of Emergency Operations (DEO), County Administrators, and Florida State Mitigation staff met with Branch IV s Mitigation group to discuss endangered species issues related to projects identified by Lee County. Lee County Natural Cultural Resources (NCR) Recovery Support Function (RSF) and the Lee County PBRST met to discuss debris management, repetitive loss properties, property use requirements and alternative funding sources. 18o. ESF #15 External Affairs (EA) Congressional Affairs (CA): CA distributed three (3) congressional advisories to 144 congressional staffers. Cumulatively received 2,401 inquiries, 155 remain open. Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA): IGA specialists conducted outreach to the mayor of LaBelle (Hendry County) and local officials in the city of West Palm Beach (Palm Beach County). Joint Information Center (JIC): On 02/14/2018, staff responded to an inquiry from the Miami Herald about home elevations and the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. On 02/15/2018, staff responded to an inquiry from Florida Insurance Watch for information on the total number of National Flood Insurance Program claims, from Florida policyholders, number of closed paid claims, closed unpaid claims, open claims and dollar value of closed paid claims. Staff provided information to Sarasota Observer on federal disaster assistance provided to homeowners and renters in Sarasota County following Hurricane Irma, the role of insurance, and the Public Assistance reimbursement process. On 02/17/2018, Media Relations specialist interviewed by Spanish station Radio Mambi 710 AM (Univision) and provided a Hurricane Irma recovery update (Miami-Dade County). JIC provided statements to WINK-TV (CBS) and WBBH-TV (NBC/ABC) in Ft. Myers-Naples about working with the State and the Lee County School District on Public Assistance projects. Posted three (3) tweets on the Region IV Twitter feed and three (3) Facebook posts on the FEMA page about building back stronger, economic recovery, and Disaster Legal Services. 7
