2 Page 2 MONTHLY PERSPECTIVE: We are in the second term of a democratic president and the pattern repeats itself. Under Clinton, 800,000 plus people were allowed to die in Rwanda. With Obama, ISIS has risen along with their unrestricted killing. Non-existent social issues are addressed and pushed to the front of the news, ranging from the killing of black thugs to gays and the Bruce Jenner types. Democrats never really accomplish much, but rather stir the pot with non-existent issues. People are going to ask me about the two females that graduated Ranger School. First, I completed Ranger School 25 years ago. It was tough. Having said that the military can be meddled with by politicians, especially now, more than ever. General officers and their lower counter parts become very political, just to survive. Many will sell their souls for a general officers belt or to attain another rank. Do I trust the officer corps? No. Especially not at this time. Remember, I survived Clinton and Somalia. I know how the system works. I know how officers and general officers run for cover when things get bad. They become political. As for West Point, it is a political animal in its own right. MG Miller who oversaw the process was a West Pointer if I remember correctly. If the two females made it through Ranger School without the standards being changed, good for them. We will not know until an NCO (non-commissioned officer) RI (Ranger Instructor) gets out of the Army and does an interview. Since an RI assignment is not a classified one, he will be free to speak and can let the world know they made it on their own merits or that the system was compromised due to politics. In the end, if democrats wanted true equality in the military, there would be one physical test for males and females. The problem is that out of 100 females, a few would get a higher score while most would get a lower one. That is just the way reality is. Democrats change things for when it suits them to make a point for the one or two individuals and not the whole. I would like to believe these two soldiers made it on their own merits, but I just don t know. THE REPUBLICAN DEBATES FOX News fell on their collective asses on these debates. It goes to show that if they do not have any competition to keep them honest, they will become arrogant and ignorant. The debate team from FOX looked like a bunch of amateur Game Show Hosts during their pre-debate dialog. I quickly turned it off. It is sad they did not rehearse and bring their personal demeanor to a profession level along with the debate. They equate success as to having numerous viewers but fail to understand they are the only game in town. It is like having one car dealership in your city.

3 Page 3 If Bill O Reilly, Megan Kelly, Geraldo Rivera or Juan Williams comes on, the channel is changed or the TV goes off. I like Brett Bare, but he lost credibility when he became part of that circus. FOX News needs to apologize and step up their game. They have become complacent in their profession. MEDIA PRIORITIES A CSAT student who lives in Baltimore wrote that they had 42 murders in their city in one month and 38 were black on black. The media is concerned about one lion being killed by a dentist. Talk about priorities.

4 Page 4 The media likes to pick and choose which areas are important and what Americans should be concerned with. Let me see now. How about a corrupt administration, Hillary Clinton, Planned Parenthood, the Iran deal, etc. Why not focus on fixing what is broken and evil vs. targeting easy to report stories that pad their wallets vs. making a real difference in life. Planned Parenthood and their lack of respect for human life reminds me of the Nazi experiments of WWII.

5 Page 5 America is the world s policeman and we are turning our backs on a problem that can bite us and our allies in the ass. The media has forgotten this and what is important in life. Smug and clueless.

8 Page 8 IMMIGRATION Recruiting talent from other countries has been an American way of life. It is also a dream for those coming to our country. They take what we would discard and make it better. Houses, land, you name it. I see it first hand across the street from my range. They want a better life for their families and I respect this. It is a different trail of tears so to speak. Most people in America have not experienced hardships. We have become so wealthy that we forget where we came from. We have let our kids forget. Hispanics come in and bust their asses and are never at a loss for work. They work seven days a week for the most part. Yet, I have had white people tell me they can t find work. As an employer, I know the deal. Yes, there is a segment of immigrants that has problems and that is why I am for a structured and enforced immigration policy. Currently the flood gates are open and you will get some sewage mixed in with the good water. You need a system of filters. The below cartoon hit home as I see this more and more in our country.

19 Page 19 RANGE UPDATE: Sniper hill work is complete. After some major dozer and track hoe work, we were able to get the drainage worked on and the 700, 800, 900 and 1,000 reworked and in place.

20 Page 20 We shifted the 700-1,000 on Sniper Hill to the right side of the range to keep the fields of fire safe. The deck (to be finished) will be for the 1,000 shot. The bench or ground under the tin will be for the shot. This will also help spread out shooters during a class. CLASSROOM/ LODGE: NO CHANGES EQUIPMENT: FOR FUTURE CLASSES, I WILL REQUIRE ALL INSTRUCTORS STUDENTS TO EITHER PURCHASE ONE BEFORE OR DURING THE CLASS. First, I believe that instructors need to have tools of the trade. The first couple of hours in a rifle class is zeroing. I used to supply tools, but spent hundreds of dollars each year on them only to have them lost, broken, taken home. This tool is simple and will not break. Also, you can fix/adjust a host of problems with a student s rifle/optics.
