Suzanne Rosas or srosas@gwc.cccd.edu Academy Instructor Certificate Course (AICC) POST: PLAN 5 Pre-requisite: This course is presented in conjunction with POST and there is no fee for the class. You must be a candidate for teaching in a POST Regular Basic Course. The AICC course is intended to equip instructors with the skills, competencies and knowledge necessary to deliver training for recruits and peace officers in a manner that emphasizes the retention and application of knowledge consistent with the goals and mission of policing. A primary goal of AICC is to comply with the requirements of the minimum standards for Regular Basic Course (RBC) instructors detailed in POST Regulations 1071, 1082, and Dates: Fall 2016 and Spring hours/2 weekends/ 4 days (Friday and Saturday) Time: 7 am 6 pm For information contact Suzanne Rosas at or srosas@gwc.cccd.edu Orientation, Police Academy, Regular Basic Course CJ G054 2 units This course is designed to familiarize the student with the police academy training program and may be taken 4 times. This course provides the fundamentals of basic police training in compliance with the minimum standards established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The training includes community based policing concepts, techniques, and observation of application. Letter grade only. Not transferable, AA/AS degree only.
