1 Esprit, Vision & NICO Technical Training Seminars 2008 Esprit Training Program Class Description The Esprit Technical Training Seminar is a 4-Day course for qualified service personnel. Individuals are required to be familiar with medical equipment (electromechanical / pneumatics) and have a detailed understanding of electronics. Topics covered are: Modes of ventilation / breathing Types of breaths & settings Theory of operation for Pneumatics/Electronics SST/EST Diagnostics Software Configuration Hardware Troubleshooting Performance Verification Hands-on Workshops All students receive reference materials including the most current Operator and Service manuals needed for servicing the Esprit. Esprit Service Training Tool Kit (# ) can be purchased at the time of class enrollment at a discount. The standard price is $415. When purchased at the time of enrollment the price is $384. Vision Training Program Class Description The Vision Technical Training Seminar consists of a 2-day course for qualified service personnel. Individuals are required to be familiar with medical equipment (electromechanical / pneumatics) and have a detailed understanding of electronics. Topics covered are: Vision Overview Electronics Routine Maintenance Final Test Theory of Operation Pneumatics Troubleshooting Workshop Replacement Procedures All students receive reference materials including the most current Operator and Service manuals needed for servicing the Vision. BiPAP Vision Service Training Tool Kit (# ) can be purchased at the time of class enrollment at a discount. The standard price is $315. When purchased at the time of enrollment the price is $288. NICO Training Program Class Description The NICO Technical Training Seminar consists of a 1-day course for qualified service personnel. Individuals are required to be familiar with medical equipment (electromechanical / pneumatics) and have a detailed understanding of electronics. 3 Registration Registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the date and time the registration form is received. Class size is limited to 15 students for Esprit and 18 Students for Vision. Cancellations may occur up to 20 days prior to the program start date. Failure to cancel class enrollment 20 days prior to scheduled date will require full payment of class tuition, however this may be applied to a future class. Note: Prices are subject to change without notice. Minimum Enrollment All classes have a minimum enrollment. If you are confirmed for a class that is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified approximately 20 days prior to the scheduled class. Every effort will be made to assist you in enrolling for the next scheduled class. Minimum enrollment for Carlsbad and Regional classes is 10 students. On-site classes have a minimum enrollment of 5 students. Minimums must be confirmed 30 days prior to the first day of class. Hotel, Ground Transportation & Directions for Carlsbad, CA Training Classes only (This information does not apply to remote class locations.) Hotel information and directions are attached for those students arriving at San Diego International Airport or Palomar Airport located in Carlsbad. Rental cars are available (at student s expense), or shuttle service may be scheduled through Cloud 9 Shuttle Service at Round trip transportation will be provided free of charge from the Carlsbad Courtyard Marriott Hotel only, to the Respironics facility. Please indicate on the enrollment form if this service is needed. Administrative All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. (Continental Breakfast 8:00 8:30) and end at 4:30 p.m. Schedule flights to arrive the evening before the first day and a departure from the airport at 7:00 p.m. or later. Training Packages: includes hands-on training and a 6 month Technical Service Update subscription - includes hands-on training, a 12 month Technical Service Update subscription, a Certifier - High Flow Module w/o2 sensor (P/N ), and a Service Training Material Kit* Combination - includes both Esprit and Vision hands-on training, a 12 month Technical Service Update subscription, a Certifier, and both Service Training Material Kits* * The service tool kit contains materials and adapters needed to test and repair the Esprit and Vision ventilators. NOTE: The class content is identical in all three training packages (, and Combination). All attendees receive the same high quality training as Respironics Services Representatives. The classes differ only in their features. * SPECIAL NOTE FOR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS * Third-party service providers are no longer prohibited from attending an Esprit or BiPAP Vision or Combination class. Third-party customers may enroll in any Carlsbad or Regional class but are still excluded from the and On-site programs.
