SELL POPCORN, CHOCOLATES & COFFEE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AT A DISTANCE. A FEW SELLING TIPS TO INCREASE SALES: Scouts who previously sold can start by going to the same customers they had from previous years. It is better to request payment up front than to try and find someone who owes you money weeks later. Have ALL checks made payable to the Unit. Have an order form with you wherever you go so you can catch sales anytime. Leave a business card or door hanger at every house, even where you didn t talk to anyone. When they come back, they can contact you to buy popcorn. If you have set up an online selling account, make sure to put your Trails End Scout Code and website address so they can purchase online anytime. When going door-to-door, you are more likely to catch someone in their home at 6 PM then 10 AM on a weekday. Scouts can ask their parents to bring an order form to work to sell to their co-workers. Bring a back-up pen with you in case the first one runs out of ink! Be sure to know the popcorn you are selling. A good salesman always knows his products.
