10 Naval Survival Training Institute (NSTI) Purpose: To assist the joint warfighter in winning the fight by providing safe, effective, and relevant human performance and survival training. 11 Naval Undersea Medical Institute (NUMI) Purpose: Provides training and consultation support in Undersea Medicine and Radiation Health. Location: Groton, CT Courses of Instruction: 1. 12 Surface Warfare Medical Institute (SWMI) Purpose: Provides global medical support, training and consultation for Surface Forces on all issues regarding afloat operations. Coordinates and performs operational readiness training, LCAC Medical Screening, reference publication, course execution and curriculum revision. Location: Norfolk, VA & San Diego, CA Courses of Instruction: Authorized Manning: Surface & Dive Independent Duty Corpsman (HM L10A/L28A) 2. Surface Warfare Medical Indoctrination and Refresher 3. 13 Naval Expeditionary Medical Training Institute (NEMTI) Purpose: Provide instruction on the assembly, disassembly, establishment of command structure, basic operations, medical operations and Collective Protection Systems of an Expeditionary Medical Facility. Also provides instruction of deploying medical forces to Role I & III operations. Provides stabilization trauma care experience at the Navy Trauma Training Center located at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. Location: Camp Pendleton, CA / Los Angeles, CA Courses of Instruction: 1. Expeditionary Medical Facility /Collective Protection Training 2. Expeditionary Medical Unit Training 3. 14 Naval Special Operations Medical Institute (NSOMI) Purpose: Conduct combat medical training for Special Operations Forces to include Recon Corpsman, SEAL and Surface Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman(SWCC) Medics under U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Location: Fort Bragg, NC Courses of Instruction: 1. Special Operations Combat Medic (HM-092A) 2. Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman (HM-L02A) 3. Special Operations Combat Medical Skills Sustainment Course. 15 Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI) Purpose: To support Navy and Marine Corps aviation units through expert Aeromedical consultation services. Development, application of aeromedical standards, and training of aeromedical personnel for operational assignments. Location: Pensacola, FL Courses of Instruction: 1. 16 NAMI: Robert E. Mitchell Center (REMC) for Repatriated Prisoner of War (RPOW) Studies Purpose: The Mitchell Center provides annual clinical evaluations and conducts follow up studies of RPOWs from Vietnam, DESERT STORM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, in order to evaluate the mental and physical effects of captivity and delineate the predictors of repatriate resilience. 1. Performs more than 200 RPOW evaluations each year for members of all services as well as the State Department. 2. Functions as the only longitudinal study of RPOWs. 3. SECNAV directed the creation of the Mitchell Foundation, a private 501C3 corporation, to help support the Center s research efforts.

17 FY18-FY19 Strategic Initiatives Achieved national benchmark recognition for hyperbaric medicine and aeromedical examinations. Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine Society Accreditation & National Association of Occupational Health Professionals Recognition received Nov-Dec Achieved internally set benchmark of 95% or greater for aviation survival and operational medicine annual graduates. 97.3% for FY18. Standardized Tactical Combat Casualty Care across BSO-18 FY17-FY18. Role 2 Light Maneuver (R2LM) Training NEMTI In progress: Respond to the needs of the Fleet with an expeditious, efficient and effective End to End (E2E) process. NMETLC establishing Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project. In progress: Adopt and implement Academic Excellence Curriculum Development and Instructor Development best practices (NEW) Initiate Navy Surgical Trauma Training Advance Resuscitation (NSTTAR) Sept 2018 (NEW) Assume program management of HM Trauma Experience Q2 FY19
