13 2018 Online Registrations Instructions for SkillsUSA State Conference Go to the National membership website at and login Click on the Conference tab at the top of the page, then on the drop down menu select My Registrations The Filter Event should display State Conference. If it does not, choose it from the drop down menu. If this is your schools first year using the online system, you will not be able to look up previous registrations, but if your school has used it before you can use the Lookup Previous Registration feature. Select the button on the left side of the screen that says Add Registrant Select the Registration Type Select the student and/or advisor from your member drop down list Note: please make sure the names of the Competitors are in Upper and Lower Case (proper noun) format, as we will print name badges and display winners during the Award Ceremony using the data exactly as you enter it here. Click Save & Continue Complete the Registrant Detail Info page, ensuring all required fields are completed, along with the date of birth (very important for the competitor, and is critical for locating scores online), Name of Teacher/Adult accompanying participant and their Cell number, and T-shirt size. To enter a student as a competitor, click on the Add Contest and select which division (Secondary or Postsecondary) your student is competing in. Each Contest has a unique Contest ID number internally in the database, and if you register a student in the wrong Division it will cause problems at the conference. For Team events, two additional drop down lists will be available Team Code and Team Sequence. These are used to group competitors together into teams as required by the particular event. Please note, you ll need to have your team put together before you register them, so they can be grouped together. The site will automatically assign a unique Team Code to each team. See the attached the 2018 Contest MENU for specific guidelines on who can enter what contests No information is needed in the FEES/OPTIONS Section for the State Championships. If you are entering registration for an advisor/non-competitor, you complete the Details and Emergency sections, and then click Save Registration to return to the previous grid of registrations or click the New button to clear the screen for another Registrant. Once your School s Registrations are entered, including advisors and guests, etc. attending the conference, there are two reports you may run. A Fee Summary report will calculate the amount your Students and Advisors need to submit to State office and will only list each attendee ONE TIME, regardless of how many Contests they are registered in. The Registration Summary report will list each Attendee along with the details about what Contests each competitor is in. Please double check your attendee information to make sure that students are in the right contests. Invoices are automatically ed to you or you can print them from the Conference My Registrations page. If you would like more detailed instructions on how to submit your registration online, you may click the Help button on the National Website in the User s Guide.
