32 It takes all of us-teachers, parents, community members. Leaders have to have a commitment to the community. We have to be stakeholders in the community. We can t just be a visitor or part-timer, or somebody passing through. You have to have that combination of things, some experience in and knowledge of the community, caring about kids, and then the money. We can t just throw money at the problem if we don t have the commitment and the caring, but when we do, the money sure helps! - Rural School Board Member From Turning High Poverty into High-Performing Schools, William Parrett & Kathleen Budge.. 4/5/18 MSBO Spring 2018 Section 31a Programming Updates 41
