2 Introduction are a set of expectations from the board of directors to remain in good standing. This is to ensure the chapter has the basic operations necessary for sustainability. education@akpsi.org myakpsi.org

3 1 Meet regional director-assigned, year-end chapter size. Your chapter must meet or exceed the year-end chapter size goal set by your regional director in the fall. The year-end chapter size is a total of all members of your chapter who are in good standing. This includes collegiate members, initiates, and members on a leave of absence. To provide the most accurate number, you must also report your alumni on or before May 15. 3

4 2 Complete and submit the Chapter Success Plan. The chapter must submit their Chapter Success Plan and have it approved by the regional director and chapter educational resource coordinator (CERC). The Chapter Success Plan should be submitted on Smarter Select. The link to Smarter Select, where the Chapter Success Plan is hosted, is located in Chapterspot > HQDocs > Your Chapter Folder > General Resources. Be sure to click on the General Resources main folder and show all the documents by clicking the arrows in the top right corner. You must use the link in HQ Docs to access the Chapter Success Plan. Your Chapter Success Plan will be completed by the executive board with the help of your chapter advisor. Once submitted, your chapter advisor, regional director, and CERC will evaluate it. If your regional director assigned a date earlier than October 1, submit it by that date. You ll use this plan to carry out the activities your chapter has planned for the academic year. In the spring, the executive board will submit a reflection about how well the chapter met the goals set in the Chapter Success Plan. 4

5 3 Have a balance no more than 60 days past due on December 31; and have a current balance on June 30. In order to meet this minimum standard, the chapter must not have a balance with the Heritage Center. All invoices must be paid by June 30. The Heritage Center sends monthly invoices and statements to chapter officers from August through May. These contain the balance due and aging buckets allowing chapter officers to know what is current or past due. The Heritage Center also sends a collection report to the Management Team (regional directors and vice presidents) on a regular basis. They will then inform the chapter executive board of how much the chapter owes and how much is past due. It is best practice to pay all invoices by December 31 and June 30. If the chapter did not have a balance less than 60 days past due on December 31 and/or made any payments after June 30, it will not meet this minimum standard which could result in a Show Cause hearing. Payments can be made by a check mailed to the Heritage Center, or by card at myakpsi.org/mpc. Note: This balance refers to the account your chapter has at the Heritage Center. This does not refer to the balance in your chapter s bank account. 5

6 4 Submit all Pledge Education Program materials. The chapter must submit all Pledge Education Program (PEP) materials in order to meet this minimum standard, These materials should be submitted to HQ Docs in the Documents sub-folder under the Pledge Education Program folder on Chapterspot. Once PEP documents are submitted to HQ Docs, the CERC, Management Team, and regional management team will review them. Should they not be approved, we will notify the chapter and work together to improve the documents. They should then be resubmitted for approval. 6

7 5 Attend PBLI, Officer Training and Convention. In order to meet this minimum standard, the chapter must register and attend the Principled Business Leadership Institute (PBLI) and have a minimum of four core officers register and attend Officer Training (OT). The dates and locations for PBLI are: Atlanta February 2-4 San Francisco Bay February 2-4 Boston February 9 11 Chicago February 9-11 A chapter may register members for PBLI on the website. Upon arrival to PBLI and OT, all members in attendance must check-in. Failure to check-in may result in the chapter missing the minimum standard. At least one delegate and one alternate delegate must register and attend Convention
