In any given year, the amount and awarding of each of St. Thomas More College scholarships and awards is contingent upon the availability of funds 2. A student may receive only one St. Thomas More College scholarship or award unless no other student is eligible for a specific scholarship 3. Only scholarship and award recipients will be notified 4. To receive a scholarship or award the student must attend the St. Thomas More College Awards Ceremony: Saturday, November 28, 2pm 2
3 PART 5 - PLEASE CHECK ALL THE SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS WHICH YOU WISH TO BE CONSIDERED SCHOLARSHIPS Henry and Agnes Brockman Scholarship Donor: The Brockman family in memory of Henry J. and Agnes Brockman Named after Henry J. and Agnes Brockman who were pioneers in the Humboldt area. This fund provides scholarships for study in the area of child development. Value: 75% of Tuition fees (domestic equivalent) for all course the student is register in at the application deadline. Number given out each year: At least 1 be a continuing students (completes a minimum of 24 credit units) maintain an above average academic standing be majoring in Psychology have completed or registered in at least 6 credit units in Philosophy through St. Thomas More College be registered in at least 3 credit units of child development have an academic advisor from St. Thomas More College Note: Upon application, a scholarship is renewable in the third anf fouth years, provides the student maintains an above average acadmice standing and continues to major in Psychology, with a focus on child deleopment or develpmentally related courses. Margaret McWilliam Scholarship Donor: Brette and Keldon Ehalt Marge made a mean lemon meringue pie. She sang louder than anyone else in her pew and watched The Young and the Restless religiously. She wore a lot (a lot) of foundation and little gold shoes. She lost her purse on a daily basis. Marge s granddaughter is an STM graduate. Value: $2500 Number given out each year: 2 be a self-declared full-time STM student. have an Honours academic grade point average. be registered in at least 6 credit units in English through STM. be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credit units for the current academic term. be an upper-year (third or fourth year) student majoring in English. Note: The Scholarship will be given out to one (1) third year student and one (1) fourth year student with the highest academic grade point average who meets the criteria above. Jeannette Tetrault Scholarship Donor: Estate of Jeannette Tetrault Value: $1500 be St. Thomas More Students or Newman Centre members have successfully completed 30 credit units of university courses or the equivalent. maintain an Honours academic level grade point average. Note: Preference will be given to students majoring in French. 3
