Governor called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. CT. Challenge Fund Applications 1. Agenda Burgum moved, Ryan seconded, to approve the agenda. Approved by consensus. 2. Meeting Minutes Neset moved, Schmidt seconded, to approve the October 25, 2017 Minutes. Approved by consensus. 3. Mayville State University Martinson moved, Schmidt seconded, to approve the following: a) Annual scholarship academic excellence campaign $35, b) Endowment for academic excellence campaign $14, Ryan, Neset, Schmidt, Martinson, Krebsbach, Burgum Nicholas, and Lt. Governor Sanford voted yes.

Minot State University Neset moved, Burgum seconded, to approve the following: a) Endowment - academic scholarship campaign $15,000 b) Endowment - scholarship college of business scholarships 14 x $12,500 Schmidt, Ryan, Neset, Martinson, Krebsbach, Burgum Nicholas, and Lt. Governor Sanford voted yes. 5. North Dakota State College of Science Schmidt moved, Martinson seconded, to approve the following: a) Foundation Endowment Scholarships totaling $12,500) i. Pre-Med Professions ii. Students Full or Part time, 1st or 2nd Year, ND Resident (GPA 2.5 or above) iii. HVAC/R Student iv. Ag Students b) Richland County (ND) or WIikin County (MN), Attending Wahpeton Campus - Two-Year Degrees in Fields Meeting Workforce Needs $25,000 c) New Endowment for Technical Need-Based/Gap-Filling $12,500 d) Full Time, First and Second Year Students In HVAC/R, Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical $12,500 e) Current Endowment for Need-Based/Gap-Filling $50,000 Martinson, Schmidt, Ryan, Neset, Krebsbach, Burgum, Nicholas, and Lt. Governor Sanford voted yes. 6. North Dakota State University Ryan moved, Krebsbach seconded, to approve the following: a) Agribusiness and Applied Economics Scholarship Endowment $75,000 b) Underrepresented Populations/Disadvantaged Students Scholarship Endowment $25,000 c) College of Business Scholarship Endowment $25,000 d) Pharmacy Scholarship Endowment $75,000 Neset, Krebsbach, Burgum, Martinson, Schmidt, Ryan, Nicholas, and Lt.
