It must be completed and turned in to the high school counselor or to the high school office no later than February 27, Should the applicant need more room to answer a particular question, additional sheets of paper may be attached to this application form. Please make sure that each attached sheet bears the student's full name and that the question number and paragraph subject matter are clearly indicated. (This form can be filled out electronically (go to: however, you must still print and submit the completed form to the appropriate location).it is very important that all answers are legible. Typed applications are desirable, but not necessary. Neatly written or printed applications are acceptable. For questions 7 to 9, responses exceeding 100 words are downgraded. Each student should keep a copy of his or her application. Members of the Masonic Lodge nearest each high school should coordinate collecting applications from the high school. While Grand Lodge scholarships are awarded to the winners in state-wide competition, some applicants may receive local Lodge scholarships, certificates of recognition, plaques, and/or trophies to attest to their excellence, even if they are not recipients of Grand Lodge financial aid. All awards are made on the basis of points awarded for scholastic achievement, community service, citizenship, financial need and evaluation of written responses. 1

2 Gender bias extends only to attempting to identify the most outstanding male and most outstanding female student in each school. Awards and scholarships are made and distributed without regard to race, creed, nationality, relationships to members of any Masonic organization, or other extraneous factors.
