1 Registration Form General Excellence Scholarship Gippsland Grammar invites applications for our General Excellence Scholarship from students who are able to demonstrate outstanding abilities in a broad range of areas including academic, sporting, the arts, and leadership and community involvement. The General Excellence Scholarship is open to girls and boys who will be entering Years 7 or 11 in 2019 whether or not they currently attend Gippsland Grammar. General Excellence scholarships for entry into Years 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 in 2019 are available to students who are not currently attending Gippsland Grammar. The scholarship will be tenable for the remaining period of secondary years subject to satisfactory progress and participation in Grammar life. To apply for the General Excellence Scholarship please return this completed form to the Registrar, Gippsland Grammar, PO Box 465, Sale, 3853, by the closing date for applications, Monday 5 February 2018, together with a copy of the receipt issued with the on-line registration. There is no additional fee to sit for the General Excellence Scholarship. A photocopy of the student s latest school report should be attached to this application. Parent/Guardian s Signature... THE APPLICATION The Gippsland Grammar General Excellence Scholarship is awarded to applicants who demonstrate outstanding abilities in a broad range of areas. The application for the General Excellence Scholarship will therefore be assessed taking five categories into consideration: 1. Academic 2. Leadership and community service 3. Sporting 4. The Arts 5. College contribution The following pages comprise the application. Please complete them as fully as possible. The selection panel will review all applications received by the closing date, assess them, and reduce the list of candidates to a shortlist. This shortlist of candidates will be contacted by Gippsland Grammar to be invited to attend an interview following receipt of ACER Co-operative Scholarship Testing Program results. If invited to an interview, please bring any supporting documentation you wish the panel to view. Certificates and awards, for example, could be brought to interview. They should NOT be attached to this registration form. Substantiation of all claims made in this application will be required at the time of interview. Please note that the only acceptable supporting document at this stage is a photocopy of the candidate s latest school report. The photocopied report should be stapled to the back of this application form.
